I started using a Flash a few weeks ago and really love it (simple enough and only tracks what I need to currently...cycling/steps/basic sleep/etc). Anyone on MFP that wants to add a friend let me know. Login is trmulder02. Thanks guys and keep up the good work fellow MFP'ers.

Mines broke took after a week and the company told me it was the positive side spring was not making contact with the battery and that I should turn it, pull up and then press the spring back down, but to be careful not to break it because it is fragile. I just told them yeah I'm just going try to take it back to bestbuy because I should not have to do that after only having it for a week.

would those of you who have a misfit say it's worth it? I keep thinking about getting one, but then tell myself I know how active I've been and I have a pedometer as well, but then I figure it must have a good impact on motivation, to be able to see how active you have been.

    Is it a worthy investment?

Id say it is. I only got mine yesterday, and already I've made conscious decisions, to walk that bit further wtc, just to achieve my goal for the day. Imo it is!

Hi all, I've had the Flash for few days. So far so good except I don't think I have it synced with MFP. Please everyone, add me as a friend. Lynnerdmc
  • I keep seeing that the misfit is too sensitive? that brushing your teeth will say you've walked 200 steps or something. Is it worth the money? I brought a dynamo one which went wrong and failed to connect to BT. Does BT always need to on for it to work?

as far as this question goes, you only need to connect it to BT (bluetooth right?) for syncing purposes. it works quite well without BT, but if you want to see your actual numerical activity on the app, you need to sync it, which requires BT, but only for a couple of seconds.

Anyone, please correct me if im wrong! thanks!

We bought a couple for my wife and i, her wristband broke and my belt clip broke within three weeks of use. Nothing out of the ordinary, just regular use. I've emailed their customer service, waiting for reply

I've learned now to wear it differently. It's now clipped to my waist or in my pocket during the day and in my hair (clipped, lol it's thick) at night. This seems to relieve excess wear on the clip, but I'm worried about losing it

I got a misfit flash the device its self was great but the strap broke in 4 days, emailed customer service they are sending me a replacement so I was thrilled. .5 days after i lost it from the clip supplied :-( emailed them and told them due to the bad accessories that I had lost it no reply to that email. I would say that it works well with mfp but wait until the improved holders are released. I am now saving for a more expensive tracker that isn't so easy to lose. Sinead

    Obviously MFP not Mr P
  • Hey guys! Add me as well! My name is

    gogogogogo

I've had other fitness trackers and I'm really digging the Flash so far. I only use it when I cycle and I'm not exactly sure how accurate it is, but I feel like it's fairly close considering it's price point. I'd definitely recommend one - been using it since Jan 1 and it's simplicity really motivates me.

Hope you're all well and meeting your goals!

    Hi everyone;
I would love to some friends on the misfit app- and here too- there I am jaehl.
I've had the flash since the beginning of January and I really like it. Yes the strap broke but I had read so many accounts if that happening I wasn't surprised. Now I tuck it into my waistband and it is fine. More accurate I think too because on my wrist it was counting steps when I was knitting:/. I got it on sale at futureshop for 30$CDN so it's all good. I really like the sleep tracking feature and I have it synced here to MFP and although I haven't been tracking my food for a while it has been keeping track if my steps everyday- guess I better get back to tracking food!

I use it after switching from fitbit. I like it better. I requested they replace the strap, which also broke on me... We will see if they hold true. Add me if you want, I don't have a way to add via the app I'm using.

    Terri-
Mine is synced and it works really well.
And on the misfit app it shows my meal totals and calories.
Did you get yours to work?
I went to "add devices" and it went from there. I have an iPhone 4

Yes, mine broke the day I bought the thing! Terrible design. I returned it and now use a Garmin watch, which tracks steps AND has a GPS so it'll map where you run outside. The Misfit was cheap for a reason...
