I got this recipe from sugarplumskitchen.com - They make a great quick breakfast or snack!
Recipe makes 12 squares.
---> I calculated about 100 CALORIES per square (not bad!) <---
Banana Oatmeal Bars:
3 ripe bananas
1/3 cup applesauce
2 cups quick cooking oats
1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup craisins
1 tsp cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350°. In a medium bowl mash bananas (the riper the better!) Add all other ingredients and mix until well combined. Spread into prepared 9x13 baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown around the edges. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Cut into squares and remove from dish. Enjoy!
I personally enjoy them served with a little spoonful of strawberry jam on top!

Unsweetened. Apples are naturally sweet.0 -
Can these be frozen, and how do the bars taste after being in the freezer?0

I didn't freeze them, but I put them in tupperware in the fridge for over a week. I bet they'd freeze ok. I freeze everything since I tend to make too much.

Yummy! I used cinnamon apple sauce and vanilla flavoring. Skipped the crasins.0

Any ideas for substitutes for the almond milk? Would regular milk work? Can't wait for overripe bananas to make these.0

Seems like this would be high in carbs?0
