Not in any way that is healthy, no.0

Depends on how much fat you are starting with. The fatter you are, the more weight (mostly fat) you can lose in the beginning. The less body fat you have, the slower the weight loss (and fat loss with more lean muscle sacrifice). I've lost about that much per week but I exercise. My sister, lost about that much without exercising. She is doing Nutrisystem. She's not exercising (she was recovering from a broken foot). You don't have to go to they gym. You can walk and do bodyweight exercises. Are you opposed to that?0

.5-2 pounds per week is what's recommended as a safe loss rate. The quicker you lose, especially as you go along, the more muscle you run a chance of losing.
I would say 15-20 pounds should be doable in your situation.0 -
Oh please don't' go that route - I think most of us have tried some version of a starvation diet and we know how that ends up. It has taken me 1 year to loose 50 lbs but I still enjoy food and yes it is slow but permanent and you MUST move move move!0

A 3 lb loss per week would be a 1500 calorie deficit per day, so unless you're planning to starve yourself...0

You should give yourself at least six months to lose 30 pounds. It's important to realize that you will lose weight quickly in the first few weeks, but that it will slow down.
To healthfully lose 70 pounds, you're looking at somewhere around 14-16 months +. It's not super fast, but it's really about making a lifestyle change.
Also, you should try to get some exercise in there. The benefits are numerous, from building lean muscle, improving mood, increasing BMR, avoiding the skinny fat phenomen, to improving your all around health and wellness.0 -
Also, you need to eat more! You can seriously damage your metabolism if you continue to eat so little.0

Can you? Yes. Should you? Well that's up to you. If you are trying to create a "better you", then no, you should take it slower, not to slow like some of the people around here would have you do, but slower than what you are doing now. You are pretty over weight so theres no reason to think that you couldn't knock off 25lbs (give or take) the first month. But after that you are gonna see it slow down a good bit. I would try to stay around 2lbs a week instead of 3.
But, it sounds to me you're just trying to slim up for spring break, which in that case, if you wanna crash diet, I guess you could. It's just not a good way to keep the weight off, and you'll end up skinny-fat.0 -
I've lost almost 30 pounds with exercise and eating around 1200-1400 calories a day in about 100 days. I took time off from exercising around the holidays and my weight loss stalled. I do notice more weight loss when I work out. Even a 30 minute walk every other day helps. Start off slow and work your way up.0

There's fitness videos on youtube you can do for free. You can also do things like dancing in the living room to a playlist to get your heart going. MFP posters won't encourage you to lose 3 pounds a week, as advocating rapid weight loss is against the site guidelines, and most experts recommend up to 2 pounds/week.0

For something simple, you could check out leslie sansone walking videos. They are mainly just walking but they set a pace so you can walk 2 miles in 30 minutes for example. Just something to get you started!0
