Maintenance calories newbee question

very new to maintenance and have read through some posts. I understand people usually up their calories by 100 a week to start with until they get there ideal maintenance calorie allowance.
How much difference is your maintenance calories from what mfp calculated?
I can't imagine being able to eat 800 more cals to stay the same weight

Recently were you losing at roughly 1.5lbs a week?
If not it's unlikely you will need to add 800cals.

My numbers were always different to MFP's calorie allowance whether losing or maintaining by about 300cals.

MFP and all the other calculators (estimators in reality) just give you a guide - one of the things they can't estimate is logging accuracy (on both sides of the equation).

I have been losing at roughly 2lbs a week eating approx 1350 calories a day.
Started trying to maintain this week

Then you may need to add 1000cals.
    Enjoy!

oh its absolutely true that some people can eat up to 800 cals more, it all depends on how active you are.
I lost 1/2lb per week at 1600 cals, I now maintain on 2100 cals and its looking like I can up them again. I'm very active but there are people out there even more active than me :)

You might think that you would gain but I reckon you're also getting some activity in now and that is why you wont actually gain. Up your cals bit by bit and get your body used to more. You'll find weight will fluctuate a few lbs up and down anyway, give yourself a 3-5lb sway and if you start to gain more then its time to re-assess.
