What is YOUR "go-to meal"?

If I am cooking, sauteed fish in onions (no butter, I use a sweet tea for moisture) with a side leafy salad.
If I travel, then it is Subway... one of their less than 300 calorie 6" offerings...0 -

Yes! Me too. Cabbage soup with sausage. I love that I can actually eat enough of it to feel full. It's also perfect for sick days when working out is the last thing on my mind and I really just want to eat a big bowl of soup and watch Netflix.0 -
Spaghetti Squash with light sauce, baked chicken or turkey meatballs, and a big salad! It's so good and kicks my pasta craving…my hubby even loves it! If I still want something I slice up some strawberries and add some sugar free cool whip!0

Hummus and carrots.
Ditto! I have hummus with some variation of carrots, broccoli, celery, green/red peppers, or cucumbers for a snack every day. I've been doing this for so long, and I'm waiting to get sick of it. But it has yet to happen! I'm already counting down the minutes until I get to eat my delicious snack today.

my absolute go to is scrambled eggs with veggies and a side of bacon.
my go do most awesome delicious meal is skirt steak and sauteed zucchini.0 -
Breakfast lately has been a half an english muffin with onion and chive cream cheese topped with smoked salmon... So delicious (it used to be greek yogurt and berries- that's good too).
For lunch- a green salad with sauteed chicken, avocado, bacon, tomato and ranch dressing- It tastes like a BLT. Or rotisserie chicken salad with alfalfa sprouts and balsamic vinegar. Yum!
Dinner varies all the time!0 -
A lot of delicious ideas here.
My latest is:
1 potato Knish (split)
1 slice of cheese
2 oz of pastrami
heat it up and wala~

For craving satisfaction - taco salad with lean ground beef - had it last night actually - about 430 calories for the whole meal.0

My go to used to be oatmeal with fruit, chia seeds, hemp heart, almond butter, and real maple syrup. Now that I've cut out most grains, I have been enjoying spaghetti squash w/ marinara loaded w/ added veggies and a small side salad. I also really enjoy scrambled egg white + 1 egg and warmed up sliced banana or apple topped w/ cinnamon, almond butter and chia seeds. Once in a while I'm in a more savory mood and I'll sautee up a veggie omelet with a side of steamed broccoli.0

Yes I also make a DELISH taco salad with extra lean ground turkey, SOOO good, soooo healthy and makes me feel like I'm eating junk food0 -
I'm in Minnesota (or Minnesnowta) so I can relate! But I don't mind them on the grill pan sometimes. I make large batches and freeze them for easy week night meals0 -

Good call on pre making them! I'm trying to get in the habit of this

Baked chicken fajitas. Lean meat, veggies, salsa, tortillas and a bit of cheese. Delicious, (if I don't eat too many tortillas) healthy, easy.
Or beef/turkey chili. Very easy to pack with vegetables, freezes well, packed with protein and always tasty.0 -
Bob Harper's Spaghetti Squash Pad Thai (out of Skinny Meals.)
holy crap is it good0 -
Ground turkey tacos. I use lettuce in place of the shells.0
-
I always come back to some kind of stir-fry. It's easy, it hits my target macros perfectly, I can flavor it a million different ways, and it's usually cheap.0

Chicken tacos/fajitas/quesadillas0
-
2 egg omelette with asparagus, portabella mushrooms, and a little shredded Swiss cheese.0
-
I have a few.
Tuna with avocado and salsa or Thai sauce
Omelette with bacon and cheese
Oatmeal with cheese, bacon, and an over easy egg
Oatmeal/Greek yogurt with protein powder, fruit, cinnamon (sometimes I add some peanut butter)
If I'm in a pinch or out of ideas, any one of these will satisfy me for breakfast or lunch.0 -
Half a bag of Dole's BBQ Ranch chopped salad with added diced bell peppers, jalapenos, green onions, and tomatoes, with a serving of veggie ground round thrown on top.
I actually think I eat that at least twice a week.
I also like roasted peppers with goat cheese, fresh basil, and shredded chicken on them.0 -

My go-to dinner is any and all veg in my fridge roasted, or made into ratatouille with a can of chopped tomatoes. Sometimes I'll chuck some kidney beans in for protein. If I'm especially hungry I serve with roasted/mashed/baked starchy veg like sweet potato, butternut squash, or cauliflower. Normally have the most enormous plate of food for under 300 cals0

Breakfast tacos with corn tortillas, egg whites, cheese, and veggies. Hits the cheesy, salty, warm meal after those long work days, plus it only takes about 10 minutes to make.FenTiger89 wrote: »2 egg omelette with asparagus, portabella mushrooms, and a little shredded Swiss cheese.
That sounds so good!0 -
My go-to meal is brown rice, blanched spinach, and grilled chicken with greek seasoning.0

What I tend to make the most of, homemade chicken soup or steak...0

This is brazilian cuscuz (is made of corn flakes, not wheat like in Morocco). I usually eat with half a spoon of light butter, a scrambled egg and coffee w/ skimmed milk. It's around 350 calories total and I love it. It's basically the one food I never get tired of, and I eat it since I was a child. Just perfect

Homemade naan and falafel with tzatziki sauce. Two wraps are only 700 calories and taste so decadent!0
