Sacrifices v rewards

I started a diet almost a week ago- I had to cut out a lot of foods and cut right back on calories. Educating myself to the amount of calories in foods and the portion sizes acceptable during my day- has been a fantastic learning curve. It's only early days but I'm already less bloated and feeling much happier not eating unnecessary amounts of rubbish.

Congrats on starting on your journey. Keep logging, keep trucking. I wouldn't recommend cutting things out though, although I'm sure there are some foods that just don't seem worth it any more.0

There are so many fabulous side effects of taking control of your weight and health. Good for you!
I still eat rubbish though, just less of it0 -
Congratulations on making a start
I'm just starting out too and though it's too early to see any weight loss I feel much better physically and am much more alert mentally.
What I've found really handy instead of cutting things out is accurately logging my food to tweak my meals- for example my no1 meal to cook is sesame meatballs with rice and broccoli but the meatballs are quite calorific and the broccoli isn't, ergo I can adjust to have more broccoli and a few less meatballs but still have the volume of food I need to feel full but save a fair few calories0
