Can you elaborate a bit more on what a fat fast entails. I've heard of the egg fast diet, where you eat nothing but eggs, mayo and butter for 5 days.0

A fat fast according to a atkins site is only to be done when one has impaired metabolism or in a stall of many weeks. You will regains 2 to 4 of lost lbs.
it is done 3 to 5 days. Around 1000 cals
you can have: 1 oz macadamia nuts or nut butter
2 oz cream cheese or brie
1 oz tuna or chicken with 2 tsp mayo
served in one half avacado
2 deviled egg w 2 rsp mayo 2 oz sour cream and 2 tbsp red or black caviar
21/2 oz whipped heavy cream topped with 0 carb syrup
2 oz pate
2 egg yolks (hard boilef)1 tsp mayo
2 oz sour cream with 1/2 cup cucumber
coffee w 21/2 tbsp coconut oil
4 slices bacon
2 scrambled eggs 2 strip bacon
half a serv of sugar free jello w half cup whipped cream

You will not regain 2-4 of lost lbs on 1000 calories per day. That's literally mathematically and scientifically impossible. You might retain water, but I would expect that more if you included carbs.0

I don't know about losing or gaining weight, but that meal plan sounds like a recipe for a serious case of the trots.0 -

Wait a minute, this was a 2 year old thread? Is someone going around resurrecting old Atkins fat fast threads?0

It sounds easier to do than a water only fast.0

true definition of zombie .. right there

After you resume eating normally with carb you will regain a couple lbs. Wgat I meant to add bc you are only meant to do this for max 5 days. Generally 3. Then you add in more calories and carbs the following week. Its also said to do the atkins induction after this.0
