If you could give some advice to your 14 year old self. What would it be?.

Listen to your mum more, contrary to what you think she does know more about life than you, and her advice is good. She's always got your back, even if you think she's just being a typical interfering parent; you'll appreciate her so much more when you grow up, so stop giving her a hard time.0

Don't be so anxious to shave your face. 10 years later, women will love it!0

Don't believe your inner voice or what you are being told. You are beautiful and will get more beautiful as you get older. Don't settle, there is someone out there waiting to treat you like a Princess and wants to make all your dreams come true.0 -

Love yourself for who you are. Don't let the haters get to you. And you deserve better than the boys you want to go out with!0

1. That hot chic in school that is out of your league, really isn't if you just be yourself and stay patient.... 2. Join MFP earlier in life while single and ready to mingle...0

Love yourself. Don't let anyone else tell you your worth. Make healthy choices.0

Don't worry about what other people think about you.0

- You are more athletic than you think!
- Failure is not as bad as you think it is. In fact, it's really good for you.
- Most of the kids around you feel self-conscious and awkward, too.

Don't let the names people call you get to you. You're not the ugly, geeky nerd they say you are... you're a beautiful, smart young lady. They're just jealous and will be asking to copy from your homework all the time. DON'T LET THEM, that won't make you part of the popular crowd anyways. (And you'll one day graduate college summa cum laude and will find the love of your life.) Everything at its time, don't get desperate. :flowerforyou:0

You ARE skinny, despite what people say.... I measured 36-26-36, why the heck did I let people be so nasty to me, and believe it when they told me I was fat.....0

So much this. Just have confidence in yourself. I didn't really find that until much later in life.0 -
I'm quite happy with the way things turned out in the end of it all. I may say something about keep your job but cut back the hours, save that money and move out of your hometown sooner!0

Don’t trust father MacMurphy! And as the Fresh Prince said so poetically “Girls of the world ain’t nothing but trouble!”
Spend more time with your loved ones, tell them you love them and how much they mean to you. Oh yeah and pay attention in school and go to college FOOL!
Oh and one last thing boy, don’t be afraid to tell that cute little redhead you meet this summer how you really feel!

No dude, you don't have forever. Tell the ones you love that you love them today, make some time to take care of yourself today and never assume hello's are permanent or goodbyes are temporary.0

Also, trying really hard to be part of the "cool crowd" is a waste of time and ends up not meaning much after high school. Appreciate the great friends you already have. Just wait and see how some of those "cool" people end up anyway.
Damn, I wish I wasn't so shy back then!!!
This is me to a tee. I would tell myself the exact same thing except I'm a girl. I should have talked to those guys in high school. I remember wanting to be just like the "cool kids," However if you look at what they are doing now, I am glad I was never like them.0 -
Be yourself0

*Grabs 14 yr old self and shakes vigorously* Stop smoking, you dumbass. Stop being lazy with school. Your friends aren't "cool". Spend more time with Grandma and Grandpa and learn from them, they are awesome! Stop trying to grow up so fast. It can wait. No matter what you learn from your mistakes and keep on going.0

Women SAY they are attracted to a sense of humor. But big muscles beat out a quick wit, any day. That's why Woody Allen was never named Sexiest Man Alive.0

When that guy asks you to the prom Junior year, just politely decline. You'll avoid a 5 year relationship full of heartbreak and maybe you'll even have a good time in college instead of devoting every waking moment to him.
But definitely sign up for match.com when you're 22. You'll meet the love of your life!
Also, stop being so cynical now. It only gets worse as you age.0 -
