Broccoli,a way of life!

Heres a nice "tip",...find a way to steam broccoli-with some seasoning, with sea salt,or however you like, and do about 3 cups, eat and enjoy. Then, in an hour and a half or so,do another 3 cups.Eat this with baked fish, and talk about feeling stuffed.I feel so satisfied, almost to the point of nausea of over eating. But not a sickly feeling,if that makes any sense.I just feel satisfied, full, and not deprived.I am on the Ideal Protein program.Going on 6 weeks, and have lost 25 pounds of pure fat.

I like broccoli, but if I had to eat six cups a day, I think I would learn to hate it. Glad it's working for you! Keep on keepin on! :drinker:

We eat lots of broccoli because my 3 year old LOVES it. But that's more than we could stand I think.

I'm not crazy about it either.Only its helping me to feel full and bloated.LOL!Its just a way for me to feel satisfied.I'm a guy who can eat anytime anywhere, and its giving me a way to stay out of the fridge and pantry.

After hating it for my entire childhood/adolescence/adulthood...at 29 I've rediscovered broccoli. My husband thinks it's weird, but broccoli is my new obsession. LOVE!!!

I went a few weeks where nearly every night for dinner I ate 3 cups of broccoli, 4 eggs, 1/4 cup diced onion, 1/4 cup diced bell pepper, 2 tbsp chunky salsa, and 1oz shredded chedder cheese all scrambled together. It may seem like an odd combo at first, but it's super filling, a good amount of protein, and tasty to boot.

Broccoli and Cauliflower have so many uses and are so low in calories that they have become my default go-to vegetables.

i love it. i buy the frozen steam in a bags for a dollar. with 4 servings. but i eat the whole thing. either with italian seasoning (pepper, oregano, sea salt, stuff that i don't remember) or peanut butter, garlic, tamari sauce, ginger, and chili powder. i usually have one of those 5-6 times a week. the other 1-2 are sugar snap peas or green beans.

If you ever have any cooked broccoli leftover, you can add it to an omelette! YUMMY!

I love broccoli (and cauliflower and green beans!) and buy mine fresh frozen as I live in a city where anything on the supermarket shelves is already beginning to show its at least 24 hours old. I can quite easily eat 3 cups of any of them...several times a day. I go thru SIX 1kg bags of the above veg a week.
