Anyone tried any Protein World products?

Hello, basically I'm completely new to all of this dieting stuff and after doing some good research and reading amazing reviews, I decided to order the Protein World Slender Blend powder (vanilla flavour) along with fat capsules and vitamin capsules. Just wondering if anyone has had any good (or bad) results from using these products? :)

Hiii! I actually ordered this exact bundle a while ago. Can't go wrong with a multivitamin, but didn't notice any difference with fat melter capsules. I think these are supposed to work by giving you more energy to move or something, but I never felt anything! The protein powder is very fine, and I find it mixes really nicely into smoothies - on its own, I find it waaay too sweet and can't handle it.

Fat melter capsules are snake oil; nothing "melts fat", other than a calorie deficit and exercise. I personally only ever see this Protein World product advertised on "instagram famous" people's pages, so I wouldn't trust it as far as I could throw it.

Your metabolism works just fine without a "fat melter" snake oil pill.

Caffeine actually does give you more energy, so by that logic, fat burners/melters can make you burn more calories during your workout. However, if you're anything like me you'll just feel more hungry after the exercise and end up eating any benefit away! However, the protein world ones, as I said, did nothing for me. Never felt a difference.

Also I think missiontofitness makes a really good point about all the instragram advertising - there seems to be a new trend with instagram and twitter where d-list celebrities show pictures of certain products to create a hype. I think it is best to read rereviews online, or, as OP has done, come on here and chat to people! The latest one I saw was 'mini v' by a girl from 'Geordie Shore' who says she lost 15lb in 2 weeks - just doesn't sound healthy to me, she doesn't mention the personal trainer she probably had...

Ahhh I've already received it and tried it out to see what it tastes like, oops! In all fairness I'm looking more to tone up than lose weight and am planning to start weight lifting very soon so I'll definitely need the protein and energy for that! Yeah I bought these because unfortunately I'm usually quite busy and never manage to fit in any time to make myself a nice meal with high protein and vitamins and thought that the shakes would be nice and simple enough to make quickly, along with taking the capsules. But hey ho, I've already opened the products now, guess I'll just have to see how this goes for myself. I'm yet to make a smoothie with it though, any suggestions what ingredients would taste nice with it? I'm thinking strawberries

I mainly got these products for the vitamin pills and the protein powder rather than the fat melter capsules but I agree, obviously it's not going to work without exercising and watching your calorie intake. I was recommended it by a friend and then read up some reviews about it online and every single one I read was good so I thought I would try it out. I totally see where you're coming from though, when I searched '#proteinworld' on Instagram a lot of celebrities came up promoting the product which made me double think about it but at the end of the day it's a protein powder with vitamin pills so I thought you can't exactly go wrong, may aswell give it a go and see for myself!

    This is my fave recipe:

    1/2 avocado
Handfull of frozen berries (I use a mix of blueberries and strawberries)
    1/2 banana
    Handful of kale
    250ml coconut water
2 scoops protein (I find using 4 is too strong, but do what works for you)
1 teaspoon chia seeds (optional, I like them for fibre)
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional I just like the flavour)

This one is quite high calorie because of the avocado, but it tastes lush and is an easy way to sneak in some greens. You can use water instead of coconut water, I just find coconut water makes it smoother.

    Thanks!
She definitely didn't "lose" 15lbs in 2 weeks. That would require a 52,500 calorie deficit over those two weeks, which amounts to a deficit of 3,750 calories per day (not healthy). That's probably 2 1/2 times what she should be eating each day while in deficit! Most likely it was a few pounds of fat, and mostly water weight.

I definitely agree with the above. I'm skeptical because of my above point, but I'm glad you came here to talk about it. Most people here are going to tell you exercise + deficit; those are absolutely free. If you do want to supplement or use protein powders, there are plenty of reputable brands that aren't a part of the Instagram hype, and from companies that are established and don't need celebrities advertising them.

This site is great for getting unbiased opinions on products - I never would have heard of quest bars if it wasn't for this place! Protein World isn't bad to be fair, I think there are nicer protein powders out there, but hope OP enjoys it! It is a difficult time of year as all weight loss companies are going to up their game while we worry about our 'holiday weight'. I have already cracked and bought matcha green tea!! So mad.

I like the vanilla protein powder, but the Fat Metabolisers gave me nosebleeds, the Carb Blockers made me feel sick and the Hunger Busters did nothing. Total waste of money. There are far better protein powders out there - such as the all natural Bikini Blend.
