exercise with toddlers

I'm helping raise my granddaughter and exercise is not an easy task with an 18month old. Any ideas?

Put her in a stroller and walk.

I live on a gravel road in the middle of no where. It's been raining and cold. Nothing but mud out there

But that is the plan as soon as it warms up a little.

I agree. I have a 17 month old son and my husbands work schedule is opposite of mine. So I have a jogging stroller I use when my husband is not here to watch the baby. I also purchased some dumbbells and resistance bands to aid in my strength workouts here at home when the baby is sleeping or playing outside with me. It's not the easiest but it is possible.

A good wrap style carrier can make it easy to put her on your back. Then you can walk in pretty much anything. Ice was the only thing that stopped me when mine were that age. Walking = sanity :)
