Feta cheese and black olives. I don't need any dressing if I have either of these on my salads-because I love the way they taste! I also like Balsamic Vinegar as a dressing...very few calories per serving. Also salsa is good on top and Frank's Hot Sauce which sounds kind of weird but I eat it on everything.

roasted vegetables! yellow squash, zuchini, brocolli, mushrooms, corn. any veggie you like to eat by itself is great on salad! I like them room temp best. also parmesean reggiano cheese. great flavor, you don't need too much so low calorie. toasted pine nuts or sunflower kernals also. fresh herbs. please make your own dressing. it's not hard, and it tastes so much better than store bought!

I forgot to mention left over cold potato is yummy in salad. When the potato is cold it is moist.

favorites: 1. shredded parmesan, craisins and toasted almonds. 2. boiled eggs, tomatoes, sunflower seeds, cucumbers 3. pears/apples, pecans, blue cheese 4. grilled chicken breast, avocado, tomatoes, italian seasoning, onions.
I always make my own dressing--olive oil balsamic or red wine vinegar, garlic, onion powder, seasonings, dry mustard, sugar s&p

My new favorite combo is dried cherries, chevre cheese, chopped up fresh basil leaves with balsamic or red wine vinaigrette.
Another good one is spinach, feta cheese, grilled blackened shrimp, sliced mushrooms with dijon vinaigrette. I second making your own dressing, so much better than anything store bought.

Great with Butter Beans too. Whatever I put in it, I like to top it off with either a 1/4 or a 1/2 cup of Kashi GoLean (in place of croutons) if I need the extra nutrients that day.

on spinach: a sweet homemade dressing, hard boiled egg, and a sprinkle of bacon if you have the cals
I love a spinach salad just with vinaigrette and chevre, too.
on any greens: warm roasted beets, chevre
on a lettuce mix: a dash of a sweet vinaigrette, feta cheese, dried cranberries, and any nut--pecans, roasted almonds, walnuts (chopped fine, just a dusting is plenty and not too caloric). Chicken can be added for a good main.

Here's one I like. Mixed greens with drained mandrain oranges, chopped walnuts and fat free raspberry vingerette dressing. Yum!

My favorites: Sunflower and sesame seeds, black and kalamata olives, basil-tomato flavor feta cheese, baby english cucumber (very crunchy, not bitter!) grape tomatoes, and sometimes Craisins.
