Well done for starting! I just finished week 2. I've been logging it as 20 minutes walking (whatever speed you think suits) and 9 minutes (or 8 for week 1) of running (slowest speed available!!).0

Create your own excersie and add it in that way. I call my "C25k Running". And it asks you to input your calories.0

I think its something like 8 minutes of jogging and 13 minutes of walking for the week 1 workouts so I would just log them as separate things. I don't log my exercise with the way I'm using MFP right now but really the only way to do it is to break down the amount of jogging vs. walking and enter them separately.0

I log them separate, although even with the slowest run in MFP, it's still somewhat ambitious compared to the speed I 'run' at.0

I also log the walk and the jog separately0

Could someone explain C25K to me? It seems like it would be a good workout.0

I log it as running 5mph 30 minutes, but i enter the values from the treadmill not MFP, about 240 cals for each run on week 1 and 20

When I started I was on the treadmill so created my own exercise and input the calories from the machine. If you're doing it outside and don't have a HRM just guess what speed you're doing - normally about 4-5mph speed for beginners and log it as 8 minutes running and then your walking time - I can't remember how much walking week 1 is off the top of my head.0

c25k is a 9 week programme which gets you from being a non runner to running for 30 minutes straight (about 5KM)

Hi, I break down the two sections, the walking and the running. Walking at a brisk pace and slow jogging. I'm now on week 5 and enjoying it. Good Luck:happy:0
