We mainly stick to veggie sides (rarely starches). Some of our favorites:
    Sautéed kale and shallots
    Roasted carrots
    Balsamic Brussel sprouts
    Whipped cauliflower
    Steamed broccoli with parmesan
Steamed green beans with sautéed mushrooms

Frozen bags of mixed vegetables and garlic powder go a long way with fish. Plus salads, fruits, etc.. Quinoa is a very good side for fish, mixed with a tablespoon of olive oil and diced roasted vegetables.

    Mmm...

    Roasted broccoli and mushrooms
    Mashed sweet potato with cinnamon
    Zucchini "noodles" with marinara sauce
    Brussels sprouts with bacon

    Now I'm hungry!

I agree with these (OK - except maybe the whipped kleenex er... cauliflower) ;) I'd also add black beans. I like them with a lot of things (salads, cottage cheese, fish, chicken etc) and they really help me meet my protein goal. You can use them straight out of a can or I like the following recipe for mexican style black beans..... really easy and really delicious. Good luck!

I love the Zatarain's rice pilaf. It is a little calorie dense (210 calories per cooked serving, if I remember correctly), so I'll either half the portion if I'm low on calories for the day, or eat the whole serving with just my protein serving on the side.

Another favorite of mine is fresh broccoli cooked in chicken stock. I recently got a package of Herb Ox sodium free chicken stock for a soup recipe I made recently, and it's really great to cook veggies in too.

we do rice (just plain old white rice) or baked potatoes a lot. Also rolls. We are starch eaters.
