Has anyone tried the Julian Bakery paleo protein bars? Yeah I know everyone hates paleo, but they're one of the few protein bars that doesn't contain something I'm allergic to. However, they're super expensive so I wondered if anyone has tried them. Thoughts? Would be really nice on days I'm nowhere close to my protein macros.

Hi! I notice I personally do better with a lower carb plan (less cravings ETC), I do eat Julian's Bakery cereals for a treat. I actually like the Coconut flakes, but they are pricey. I have not tried their protein bars. I like quest bars for a treat, the chocolate chip cookie dough is delicious. I know many people wil scream "eat real food", but I am a active duty nurse and sometimes I do not even get time to pee, let alone eat, so much of my food on a 14 hour shift may have to be pocket accessible, so I keep quest bars around  Let me know if you try the JB bar and like it!

Of course they're expensive, they potentially have a captive audience because it has the word Paleo in it, they're counting on your support, so belly up and pay.

I buy kicking horse coffee, which isn't cheap, because I like the name and the packaging, but it's damn good coffee.

I bought them. They are fantastic for fitting my macros (I'm terribly low on protein all the time) and are of a decent size - but they taste very bland and blah. I'm super spoiled usually eating the Nu Go chocolate sea salt pretzel ones that taste like cookies, though, whereas these definitely scream "health bar" - but they'll do for their purpose. I still have a hard time swallowing $3/bar, but I guess it's worth it for 20 g protein with almost no carbs. :)
