Chicken Breast Weight

Hey,

I'm trying to eat a low card/high protein diet. I am doing a fair bit of chicken breasts. I do noticed that the weight of my chicken goes down by about 25% when I cook them (mostly water I guess). So is the calories I find on this site for it post or pre-cooked? Which one should I do?

Select the option that says raw or cooked by the appropriate method depending on when you weighed it.

Pick options with no stars as they are more accurate.

I do mine post weight. I weigh before and after, but the before weight has a lot of water in it.

You'll find that if you do both with the appropriate weights they should be roughly the same.

But it's not an exact science.

the one corresponding to the entry you're using. Both raw and cooked are in the database - "cooked", if weighed after cooking.
