Cardio exercises for lower body injuries

Hey guys, so yesterday I ended up pushing myself a little too far. I have arthritis and I did too much. Now both ankles are really swollen but I still want to work out! I don't want this to be a setback.
Does anyone know of any cardio exercises I can do while I recover?

I have a foot injury and I can still cycle and row. Perhaps one or both would work for you.0

Yeah, cycling rowing and swimming I'd say.
If you can't do that, I guess you could design some sort of really intense hiit upper body circuit to get a cardio burn.0 -
You could do some calisthenic exercises like bicycles (hips on hands feet in air), scissor kicks, supermans, swimmers, crunches, knee pushups, chair dips, etc.0

how about maybe while you recover, you think of a few cardio exercises you can do AFTER you recover.
