in a couple weeks, I have a party to attend I have this dress I've been dying to wear but in order to fit they way it should I would need to lose some Weight. I have been trying since December but keep losing my motivation, and making excuses. Any suggestions on making it stick?

Try hanging the dress up where you can see it everyday. Not just in your closet, but somewhere in your bedroom, the bathroom, or even the living room! Seeing it on a regular, constant basis will help you to stay motivated!0

Thanks @elizabeth_2014 I'll try that.0

me too. I ordered a custom dressed encouraged by the 10 lbs lost and my measurements shrinking. Need to lose another inch or so off tummy and 1/2 inch chest for it to fit well.
I KNOW I need to up my exercise but have been sick with head cold and my asthma.
Need to lose the inches by March 9.0 -
Feel better @meritage4 we can do this!!0

I do this all of the time. It works for me.0 -
How long exactly until you need to wear this dress? (a couple weeks is a bit vague) Losing over 10lbs in less than a month is likely to be unhealthy and dangerous.0

Use HIIT more...at least once a day do a 15 min HIIT session.
Cut all carbs after 7PM.
Don't worry about the scale at all.....and maybe cut sodium 1 week out a fair bit to release some water weight. I have no idea how much you'll lose, but this will be close to optimal for losing sizes, etc/.0 -

drinking lots of green tea and eating breakfast within 45 minutes of waking up will speed up your metabolism.0

There is no science backing up not eating carbs (or calories) after a certain time. For some, there are digestive issues that interfere with sleep, but metabolically food timing doesn't matter.
If you're really doing HIIT, you can't effectively do it every day. It's too taxing on the body.
About the only thing right is that sodium can lead to water retention (of course, so does glycogen replenishment as part of the post exercise recovery cycle).drinking lots of green tea and eating breakfast within 45 minutes of waking up will speed up your metabolism.
No. Just, no. Green tea isn't a magic bullet and breakfast is a personal choice.0 -
I have this as the background on both my phone and iPad:

So I keep getting my motivation popping up in my face throughout the day, every time I send or receive a text, skip an MP3, check Facebook or email, or go to log something in MFP. It helps me!! Maybe set a picture of your dress as your wallpaper.0
