Weekly deficit to loose weight....

Options
This post isn't necessarily a question but more of a confirmation to put my mind at ease. :)

So we need a 3500 calorie deficit per week to loose 1 pound right? (Correct me if I'm wrong.) I'm assuming MFP includes this into it's weekly tab in nutrition on the app? Because I've eaten under my calorie goal every day except one but still leaves me with "326 net calories under weekly goal" (according to MFP), meaning I have a 3826 deficit this week and will loose 1 pound? Sorry if I sound dumb here, just trying to fully understand. Thanks!

Theoretically, that's how it works. It doesn't account for water retention or normal daily fluctuations.

This is exactly why I don't like weighing myself, I go by how I feel and how my clothes fit. :)

This is also assuming you have MFP set to lose 1 lb a week.

Where do you find your weekly deficit? I can't find it anywhere

Correct, you will lose one pound with deficit of 3500- eventually anyway, once you smooth out any sodium/water retention, hormonal changes, digestive/elimination processes, etc.

Go into nutrition in your diary, and click on "weekly" in top right hand corner
