What's a good HRM?

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good HRM? I've been thinking of buying one b/c it would be nice to know exactly how many calories I am burning. Looking to spend around 50 bucks, if possible. Are the cheap ones junk?

Ive just bought the Nike Sportband HRM. Not quite as good as a Polar HRM but I too was on a budget. It cost me £25 which will probably be around 50 dollars. I think you pay for quality with these things so the more you can spend the better. Polars seem to be the best but are quite expensive.0
