i have been considering shakeology for a little bit here, curious to try it but want real opinions, preferably from people who do NOT sell it. Thanks in advance!

Expensive crap.... You can buy better at Costco for 1/4 the price.

Overprice for the quality. Only tasty when you add a bunch of stuff to it. Doesn't keep you full unless you add a bunch of stuff to it. Not worth paying for.

What were you hoping that Shakeology would do for you? If you let us know why you were considering it we might be able to help you with a better option.

It's expensive and they use high pressure selling techniques to get you to buy other products. I'm not a fan of meal replacement diets in any event, but I find Shakeology particularly repugnant, they way they tout their salespeople as "coaches" when they have to have NO knowledge or training in anything even approaching nutrition, they're just out to make a buck.

    I highly concur with this.

There are tons of protein powders or even meal replacements that are significantly cheaper and just as good as skakeology.

ps - be aware that a billion beachbody coaches might try to PM you.

I like Amazing Grass. I use their Green Superfood something-or-other. Similar ingredients for a reasonable price. It has prebiotics and probiotics, antioxidants, and phytonutrients just like Shakeology. For just about $100 less.

Thanks everyone, that's kind of what I was thinking but the only people who would talk about it are those who sell it. I was looking into it because I have been following a paleo diet but have been having a hard time getting enough protein in. I was going between trying that out, or getting a protein powder that is paleo. I have had great results in the last 6 weeks (down 15lbs) but I want to kick up my workouts, therefore need to be getting enough protein.

I have a friend who became a coach, and their FB is now innundated with Shakeology advertisements, group challenges, ect...needless to say, if I ever had any interest in it (which I never had), it would be shot after seeing the bro-science and misinformation being spread about it.

I would recommend going with a protein powder. I've done the math out, and Shakeology can be around $4.30 per day if you buy their $129.95 30 serving package, and have one shake per day. You can easily get a quality bulk container of protein powder for less than that. And buy a lot of awesome meat and produce with your savings.
