I started my weight loss in November 2014 at 259lbs, since then I have lost 35lbs and feeling stuck. I count my calories daily and try to work out 2 times a week (because I work a rotating schedule) but I can't seem to get the right mix of carbs, protein, and fats. Any advice would be great.

    What are your macros at now? What type of exercise are you doing? What your goals?

    Macros (macronutrients) are proteins, carbs, fats.

    The app tells me to get 50% carbs,30% fat and 20% protein. But I can never get that mix I'm always heavy on the carbs or the fat and not enough protein. I'm not big on chicken and the only fish I like is tuna so I don't know what to do.

    Proteins are hard for a lot of people to get, I know I have trouble with that one, too. Eat protein at every meal or try adding a protein shake to your daily routine. When creating a meal start with protein first and then add the rest.

    Without knowing exactly what you eat, there's a bunch of ways to up your protein intake (not just chicken and fish).
    Just a couple of suggestions;
    - protein powder and have it as a shake, in pancakes, in waffles, in smoothies etc
    - buy protein bars (like quest bars, or others low in carbs if you're worried about carbs)
    - any meat, like beef, lamb, turkey, pork.
    - mushrooms
    - yogurt/cottage cheese

    Thank you both, I refuse to give up. It's just frustrating sometimes. (It's not just a diet for me it's a life chang.)

    Don't get discouraged, you've got this!! 35 pounds is awesome!! Don't make your calorie for the week too aggressive, this is not a race.

    Best advice I ever got was to strive to eat 5 fruit/vegetable servings each day - I was surprised how hard it was to do unless you made vegetables the main course. You have to experiment with how you cook/prepare them til you find your way. That steered me away from bread as a filler.

    You can do it!!
