mabey. But rice tastes way better. So do hot chips
It has its place. Just not very often
I prefer in a salad then with a hot meal in place of rice.0 -
I flavor the quinoa with canned tomatoes, cilantro and garlic. .....no rice for me0

Love to cook it in a rice cooker, and season with a little chicken stock, ground rosemary, and virgin olive oil, red palm oil, or peanut oil. Also it is so good if you pan fry it in a little bit of butter with eggs, onions, diced bacon or ham. Toss in whatever veggies you have. Best breakfast ever. And it is awesome in chicken soup.0

Yummy. .....sounds good. ..... I'll try it0

Yum! I'm def going to try it for breakfast.0

How do you cook it in the rice cooker? What setting...white or brown rice? How much water to quinoa?0
-
We use quinoa a lot. Not necessarily "in place of" but just because it's good and nutritious.0

Quinoa... It's what the cool kids eat (apparently). I have never cooked it myself, but it looks intriguing...
How to Cook Quinoa

I made an alternative Chilli with quinoa! I use fresh tomatoes Instead of salsa, cilantro, kale, quinoa, beans, corn, and chicken instead of beef. And I actually baked it all up with a very light dusting of fat free mozzarella cheese! You can also add in either a little tomatoe sauce or Cannes diced tomatoes to give it more bulk.0

My wife found some quinoa chips from Simply 7 recently - she's tried the sea salt, cheddar and sour cream & onion. They're much less fat than potato chips, 8-9g of protein per serving, and they taste pretty good.0

Um... It's actually a seed? And it's a lot less ancient than, say, wheat - quinoa was first domesticated evidently around 5000BC while the earliest wheat around 8000 and possibly even 9600BC.
Just my pedantic side - the truth is I get hives when I hear/read anything that seems to romanticize food.
Otherwise, I really like quinoa - and its other, also healthy alternatives, like rice and potatoes My favorite is quinoa-mushroom stir-fry.0 -

Thank you for clarifying, I did not know that "Ancient grain" was a Costco quinoa brand. Always glad to learn something new
I do shop at Costco, so I'll look out for it next time, hopefully it will set me back less than at my local supermarket and it really is delicious in stir-fry.0 -
Try breakfast quinoa, boiled milk, cinnamon, and apples. I promise it'll energize you in rad ways.0
