Has anyone heard of this...and does it really work? Supposed to supercharge your brain function and create effortless fat loss with no cravings?

This is the recipe and it sounds pretty gross (and not helpful for weight loss)

    * 2 cups of coffee.
    * 2 tablespoons (at least) of grass-fed, unsalted butter.
    * 1-2 tablespoons of MCT oil.
    *All mixed in a blender.

I've had it. It tastes good, IMO, and helps keep you full because it has A. LOT of fat in it and fat keeps you satiated.
As for the rest, well….fat is good for your brain but I wouldn't say "supercharge". And no, it does not create effortless fat loss, nothing does. Fat loss comes down to a calorie deficit. If you are not in a deficit, you will not lose weight. Bulletproof coffee is a calorie bomb so bear that in mind.
Can you lose weight while drinking bulletproof coffee, sure. But drinking bulletproof coffee does not guarantee weight loss.

The drink that bulletproof coffee was inspired by was not meant to be a weight loss drink. It was used to provide "plenty of caloric energy and is particularly suited to high altitudes."

Butter is not too different from cream. MCT oil or coconut oil, which is also tasty.
    It is surprisingly not bad.

Yup, I've done it and I love it. Eating grains, sugar and seed oils in general will help your cognitive functions...

Ummm. Never had cream in my coffee either. That sounds pretty awful. Everybody in Australia just uses milk for both the run-of-the-mill tea and coffee (don't know where you are in the world)

I have to say, this is one of the more ridiculous diet plans out there. Face it, any diet plan created by Homer Simpson is bound to have some serious flaws.

Homer: “Oh, Marge, how could you let me let myself go like this?”
Marge: “Me? I’m not the one who puts butter in your coffee.”
  • Honestly the butter sounds kinda gross. I like my coffee back with a little cream :) I'm gonna try it tomorrow :)

The other side of the world. LOL. Cream in coffee is extremely common here.

Hahaha. The idea of cream (yes I know it is not whipping cream) in coffee (let alone butter) is one that creates confusion in Australia. I guess it is because we have such a British culture for lots of things.

Any of you ever try sweetened condensed milk in coffee? It's obscenely, novelty level bad for you. I always though it would be the most ridiculous thing I'd ever see used in coffee, but then people started buttering the stuff . . . so, touche world, touche.

I've had a Vietnamese coffee which I believe is pretty much the same thing. Mmm.

The consistency of milk in Australia is a lot thicker than our milk because they don't have as rigorous of a filtration process and it's actually a lot healthier and more delicious. So really their milk is close but no exact to our cream.
