Hi all, I am looking for some good at home DVD's, I just can' make it to the gym 6 days a week and need something at home! I was doing 30 day shred but it was tearing my knees to shreds and i can't have that what are some other good ones to try? I tried Skinny ***** Bootcamp but was pretty bore with it the first time around.

Hi,
I've got to admit am not too good on doing home exercise DVD's and have a few stacked up on my shelves but....I have tried the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and OMG it's hard!!! Brilliant but really hard, although the idea of the DVD is you do it every day, there are 3 stages, but I am still on stage 1 and am trying to do it a couple of times a week, along with walking and the good old Wii exercises and Just Dance. HTH0 -
I Slim in 6!0

Do you have Comcast OnDemand? That has a lot of exercise programs and you can vary your exercise routine nicely.0

I do the 30 day shred, Ripped in 30 and Tae Bo videos. If your knees hurt then I would try the Walk Away the Pounds with Leslie Sansone. They are great and not hard on the knees at all.0

I did 11 days of 30DS and could no longer walk down my stairs my knees got so bad so that's out I don't do the wii stuff....but maybe I should start0 -
I like some of billy blanks tae bo dvd's. They are kinda old school but still a lot of fun, and they are easier on the knees!0

30 day shred killed my shins and ankles!
I'm not sure of your price range, but.......
How about Tae Bo or Turbo Jam? I love both of those, they are fun and you really do burn a bunch of calories too!
Karen Voight has a bunch of great ones too and you can get those for 1/2 price on Amazon or Half.com. Strong Smooth moves is an hour long workout that has cardio and strength too. It's a bit outdated, but a great workout!
Or the big money one would be TurboFire.
Best of luck!0 -

Glad to know I am not the only one who suffers on the 30 Day shred.
Currently doing Rosemary Connely real results (although my co-ordination is bad, lol)
I will be trying Davina McCall, as soon as my legs recover from the 30 day (no kidding) shred.0 -

Hi. I love Kick Box Yoga Fusion. It's a full body work out, low inpact and lots of fun!0

Definitely look at Turbo Jam. You can do the entire workout low-impact and two of the people in the video do the entire workout that way so it's easy to follow. Plus it's fun!!0

Since you have Uverse I would look thru the On Demand workouts and find some that you like. You can preview them at your leisure. They have some really good ones out there and you won't have to spend any money!0

It tears up my knee's from all the squats you do with the weights.0 -

collagevideo.com rates 30 Day Shred as high impact http://www.collagevideo.com/workout-video/jillian-michaels-30-day-shred-7963. If you are younger - you might be able to get away with alternating high and mixed impact workout days. Us old folks have to stay low impact most of the time.
Cathe Friedrich's Low Max or Low Impact Circuit are really good.0 -
I'm about to turn 30 in a few weeks, so not age but i was cheerleader for years and that is just plain bad for your knees! Glad to know I am not the only one with an issue with 30 day shred! I am gonna hit on demand and I think I read something above about kick boxing yoga, that I gotta try I love both of those things!0

Davina DVD is a good option as there are two versions for the exercises she does. High impact or low impact...I suppose you could say there are three because Davina is sometimes in between. It's a good choice, good music, not patronising and can be done in a small space or if you're somewhere where you can't make too much noise.0
