Housebound and fighting cravings...HELP

Hi everyone.

I live in CT, and we have just been bombarded with snow, ice, wind and freezing temperatures.

I cannot go outside and walk or do other exercises because of this, so I am starting to suffer from cabin fever, and that means my cravings kick into high gear.

Besides the drink water, eat healthy snacks, what can I do to try and keep them at bay? I do have exercise equipment in the basement I use (hybrid trainer) and weights, but sometimes that gets boring as you are just looking at the same 4 walls.

Any advise or suggestions are very welcome and appreciated!

Do you have internet and a laptop/iPad/etc.? Google some YouTube workout videos!

Take out your phone. Set the timer for 10 minutes. Pull up a playlist with fast music. Dance for 10 minutes. If you are still in the mood at the end, see if you can do another 10, and then another. But you have to promise yourself that you can stop after 10 minutes if you want without feeling guilty.

Honestly I'd use this time to do what you can't normally do...I would sleep, treat my hair to a conditioning treatment, tax return, clear out some old papers, decorate... Find tasks and stick at it. Reaching out shows your commitment. Be strong!!

Start your spring cleaning early. Burn calories AND get everything organized, leaving you with more time outside once it warms up.

Fitnessblender.com is a good site for workout videos too.
