I had an 'incident' with those two weeks ago. Ate a whole sleeve of the samoas and shortbread ones in 20 minutes. The thanks a lot are my favorites though.. the 5 boxes I got from a friend lasted a week.

And I know that some people say that they are made by Keebler and you can find the same stuff in stores with the Keebler brand... but nope. The ones I tried were nowhere as good as the Girl Scout cookie ones.

The Keebler Grasshopper Cookies are almost identical to the Thin Mints in my opinion. Don't know about the other cookies as I'm not a huge cookie fan anyway - I generally stick to Thin Mints / Grasshoppers, Oreo (double stuff, of course), and the occasional almond-flavored cookie...

I'm buying a box of Trefoils/shortbread (my favorite!) and will find a way to fit them in moderation into my low carb, no sugar diet. Maybe like 2 cookies once a week as a reward for getting in my 3 strength training sessions or something. Is it bad to use cookies as a reward? Haha.

I got a box of trefoils (shortbread) because they looked like the best option. But I also had some Samoas because my friend was giving hers away for free....and who could say no to free cookies?!

I had a couple samoas yesterday...I simply fit them into my calories for the day, not a big deal.

My coworker who I share an office with, will be bringing them to work everyday until sales are over. I've bought 3 boxes with the intent to buy more. They're a tasty once a year treat that I quite enjoy. I also bought 2 packages of Red Velvet Oreos this morning, so while the cookies are plentiful, it's not a temptation for me.

I never really liked any of the Girl Scout cookies except for the Thin Mints. I have celiac disease now. I know they came out with two gluten free cookies this year, but since I only liked that one flavor, I'm not too hopeful that I'd like those offerings. If they'd made a GF Thin Mint? I'd be alllllll over it.

Didn't I give you the link to the GF Thin Mint on Lauren's status? lol

I avoided ordering unless the Girl Scout actually asked, then there was a box to donate them instead...that is what I did. If I have them, I will eat them and I can honestly say I don't really like them that much.

My boss already ordered 40 boxes from one of our clients so I have that to look forward to. And another client is bringing me my own personal stash for saving her lack of payroll knowledge life.

I'm pretty good with only having 1 or 2 a day so I'm not worried.

I have some in my pantry-- I've had a few. I don't consider it caving since I planned to have them and ordered them specifically so that I could have some.

But I don't like them as much as I used to do. :sob: Don't become a baker-- it ruins your ability to enjoy most store bought cookies, etc.

There's a group of nasty Girl Scout thugs at the store by my house. They strong armed me into 2 boxes of do-si-dos! 2 days later I thought I out smarted them by going to the other store entance only to find out those hoodlums were at that door too...2 more boxes.

How can an organization that brags how it's such a good organization for young girls produce such absolute trash for everyone.

I have ten boxes sitting on the counter ... was chatting with the Mom of the girl I bought them from about how I'm going to have to up my trail mileage a bunch, which I will do to some degree and work them in on my "cheat" days. She had an interesting suggestion though, and that was to freeze them and then break them out over time .... will try, not sure if it will make some of them strange in the long run, but if I hide most of them in the freezer for the next few months .... out of sight, out of mind :)

We've already went through 3 boxes of Samoas in my house. Glad that's over.

Because they are so "trash", literally every reputable cookie company known to man has made an exact replica of every cookie the Girl Scout Society produces, huh?

I have orderd but not received 2 boxes of Thin Mints and 1 box of the Rah-Rah Raisins. I will put 1 sleeve of the Thin Mints in the freezer for me to snack on, very slowly, and set the rest out for my family to devour in a matter of minutes. I am the only one who will eat the other box and, never having had them before, not even quite sure I will.

They're out in force today. So glad none of them hollered, "Want to buy some cookies?" While I was riding my bike.
