Women (men too).... do you tell your significant other what you weigh?

I imagine my husband could probably guess within 5-10 pounds what I weigh...but it's not like I'd have the number printed on a tee shirt.

The closest thing I have to an SO is a member here, and on my friends list, so he gets regular updates on my progress. Also, anyone can see my ticker. :grinning:

But I've told quite a few people who aren't on MFP that I've lost over 75 lb, and told a couple people that dying my hair was my reward for getting back under 200.

I can't get over the emphasis on the site about weight. What looks better? 230lbs of chewed up bubblegum or 230lbs of angus beef?
Composition is what matters, not weight, forget a scale was even invented.
Both matter. Being overweight is being overweight, even if it's all extra muscle. That's not as dangerous to your health as being 50% body fat (which is where I started, and there are plenty of people who are worse than that).
I meant the female being lighter than the male
Not necessarily. Women are generally smaller, yes, but my brother & his wife are about the same size, and I'm about the same size as my last boyfriend (we wear the same size shoe, are the same height, and are now within a few pounds of the same weight).

I was embarrassed when I weighed more than him. Now, I don't mind telling him.

I've been married for 43 yrs and not once in all those years have I told my husband what I weigh... not even now that I've reached my goal. Just can't do it!

Even when I was at my heaviest, I've never been afraid to tell anyone what I weigh. I figure it's just a number, one that will be decreasing this year :)

I don't - if he asked I wouldn't lie but I don't go out of my way to tell him. Not because I don't trust him or anything like that I just don't feel like its needed :)

Yes. He knows what I look like naked. Knowing my weight shouldn't change his viewpoint. If it did make a difference, I married an idiot.

I didn't at first, because I was embarrassed, but after the first 10 lbs came off, I told him. He's always been very supportive and celebrates with me when I hit a goal. :)

I have never spoken the words, "I weigh x pounds" but he has to know that I started out a *kitten* ton, cuz he knows that I have lost almost 60 pounds & still have 16# to go! He can math!
