So I started losing weight January of last year and am now somewhere between 55-60 lbs lost. I have slowly been rebuilding my wardrobe because 1) it's expensive to do it all at once and 2) I'm still losing and don't want to get too much that won't fit me in another few months.
I started out my journey in XL shirts and size 38-40 pants. The below picture has me back in medium clothing and a size 32 jean My wife and I went out this weekend and thought we'd go see if there were any deals and just happened to find some dress shirts and sweaters that were 60% off and then the coat in the picture as well for 85% off!!! I had still been wearing a wool peacoat that could almost fit another person in it with me.

Way to go on your progress with losing the weight, and especially on finding affordable, quality clothes in your new size. For me, it made a huge difference to switch to clothes that fit my 'new body', and was a confidence booster that encouraged me to carry on! Well done, and all the best as you continue to build your fit lifestyle.0

Thanks! That size 32 jean also represents what I wore in High School 15+ years ago.0

Yes @Ideabaker, clothes that fit are an incredible confidence booster. I never knew how much I loved clothes until I felt like I looked good in them.0 -

Yeah, I'm currently trying to drop another 10-15lbs of fat to have abs that show for the summer. "Should" be there by the end of April, beginning of May Never had that in my life!

Best time to buy clothes is mid/late in that season as they're already trying to get rid of the stuff for the next season0

Yup, and as the wife of a tall and biggish dude, I can also tell you that you'll keep finding those great deals...men's medium and small clothes tend to get marked WAY down, L and XL Talls are usually sold out and out of stock before the first discount. ~grumpy cheapskate~0

Yeah...this coat was the absolute last one on the rack. I looked at the price tag before seeing the size and instantly said "if this fits I'm getting it!"

You look great, congrats, and I think it's great you thought to put a pic of the markdown tab. Just remember to be extra wonderful to your wife, because it's a big change for her too.0
