Hello all. Ok heres my story. Been a smoker for 25 years . Quit on January 17, 2015. I have tryed to quit in the past. But stress issue always had me going back. Well I truly feel this time is for good. I joined a 8 week fitness challange. And going into week 2. Never tryed to diet befor, always been a bit heavy. But alway went up and down within 10 pounds. Well the 40 stress/menopausal pounds are not comming off. Any food or app recommendation would be so helpful.

I was a smoker for many years too. Don't remember when I quit but think it was about a year ago. I think it's great your thinking about nutrition diet now. The first time I quit smoking I think I quit for about 18 months but mentally told myself I could eat whatever's I wanted as long as I didn't smoke. That was a really dumb justification. I gained a lot of weight. Now I have taken forty pounds off and still have 50 to go. I do a lot of praying for help with self-control. I log everything I eat, and my exercises. I am now praying I stay faithful to the program. I think I have logged in for 11 days in a row, and I haven't done that for a while. My best advice is accountability. Log it, cause numbers don't lie. Over the last three years I have consistantly kept 35 pounds off, but otherwise all over the place weight wise, and that's okay, but I kinda kick myself in the behind for not holding myself accountable, and asking for help. Good luck. Yea that your a step a head.
