We live and learn. You can try increasing your protein, that should keep you feeling fuller longer. The reason hydroxycut can be labeled as an "appetite suppressant" is because it contains caffeine, and no more than a cup of coffee really.0 -
I didn't like them at all or their taste. They did not work for me. You should have done research before you ordered them. They are a waste of money.0

Maybe open your diary so people can help more? There is nothing wrong with having a snack 2 hours after eating, just cut all of your portions down. If done correctly, counting calories works.0

Eh, live and learn. I'd be lying if I said I was never sucked in by clever marketing. We're all human. Most of the diet pills that are sold in stores are mostly caffeine anyway, although I'm not sure exactly what's in Hydroxycut. You can get the same effect by drinking some coffee.
Focus on getting enough fats and proteins and you will be more satiated. Also stay hydrated.0 -
Yes proberley should have well guess I'll just use the bottle up0

I wouldn't use it at all. I tried them, back in the day. They made me feel really, really terrible. They really aren't worth it, in my experience.0 -

Make sure it is still unopened if you are going to resell it.0 -
For heaven's sake, don't touch the stuff with a 10-foot pole! You know Hydroxycut has been associated with liver and kidney problems, heart problems and even death, right?FDA has received 23 reports of serious health problems ranging from jaundice and elevated liver enzymes, an indicator of potential liver injury, to liver damage requiring liver transplant. One death due to liver failure has been reported to the FDA.
Liver injury, although rare, was reported by patients at the doses of Hydroxycut recommended on the bottle. Symptoms of liver injury include jaundice (yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes) and brown urine. Other symptoms include nausea, vomiting, light-colored stools, excessive fatigue, weakness, stomach or abdominal pain, itching, and loss of appetite.
Other health problems reported include seizures; cardiovascular disorders; and rhabdomyolysis, a type of muscle damage that can lead to other serious health problems such as kidney failure.
FDA urges consumers to stop using Hydroxycut products in order to avoid any undue risk, says Linda Katz, M.D., interim chief medical officer of FDA's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition. "Adverse events are rare, but exist," Katz says. "Consumers should consult a physician or other health care professional if they are experiencing symptoms possibly associated with these products.

Amazes me to no end what people will subject themselves to.
And don't resell them on eBay where someone else will buy them and potentially have dangerous side effects from them! Do you want that on your conscience? I sure wouldn't.
Toss that stuff out and lose weight the healthy way, by eating fewer calories than you burn.0 -

This is from 2009.... and the gummies aren't even listed. This is outdated information.Date Posted: May 1, 20090 -

True, but at the time it was a recall for almost the full spectrum of products made by this company. The newer formulations haven't been recalled, but there were reports in 2010 and again in 2012 of side effects. There's also virtually no standard for makers of supplements to prove that their products are safe or effective.
Personally I wouldn't trust this *kitten* any further than I could throw it. But that's just me.

So no current recalls in over 6 years. That's fine that you don't trust them. Even taking medication approved by the FDA has potential side effects. That's up to the consumer to decide if it's worth it or not.0 -
If you just ordered them you can probably cancel the order before they're shipped. Or if it's too late for that see if you can return them. You'd probably have to pay for the shipping back but that's better than taking a dangerous product.0

You can either cancel your order or return them.

I saw that you want to use for appetite control since you want to eat every couple of hours. What is it that you eat currently? I don't see a problem with eating every couple of hours, but it depends on what you are eating. Maybe adjust the food you have to more healthy choices and concentrate on getting more fiber and protein in your diet, this will help you fill-up so you aren't constantly feeling hungry! My go to snacks are: Greek Yogurt, banana or apple with nut butter, carrots or celery with hummus, Quest bars (packed with protein & fiber).0

This is a thing of beauty and a joy forever.0 -
I have a friend who actually had really good results using Hydroxycut- I think it was just because she had in her head that it was an appetite suppressant. Anyway, I bought SlimQuick just to help lose water weight. So, they work really well for that. It's a really expensive diuretic, though, and you can pretty much get the same results from a cup of green tea with every meal.0

I tried those to help a plateau I was having. I thought they worked at first, but when I stopped taking them, I kept losing the same amount of weight. It was just in my head!
You're better off eating meals with more protein so you'll feel fuller longer.0 -
I took Hydroxycut way back in the day (around 15 years ago). I lost weight but couldn't sleep and felt a bit nuts. That was when it could legally contain ephedra, which is similar in structure to...meth. So, not worth it even if it did work. I don't know what it contains now.0
