so I weighed 136 pounds in December, but I did lose my appetite and rarely ate. now I'm eating more (way more I've been so hungry after that) and now it's basically march, this morning I weighed 144 and I'm 5'8, I've grown an inch since December. I didn't really workout but now I am again because I missed it. I've worked out for a week straight so far, and I've already started to see some definition In my stomach. I've lost around an inch on my hips and waist since I started eating a bit more clean (about 2 weeks) and working out. my goal weight was 134 but now I've searched again and I think maybe around 138 would be better? my body fat in the military calculator is around 12-13% (which idk if it's good or bad) but anyways I was 138ish the start of February and now I'm 144, but yesterday I are really bad so that might be a part of it. so please help me, it's really driving me crazy, but I get to not rely on the scale too much. and if u could help me on what my goal weight should be that would be great. thanks in advance!

Probably just gained muscle. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Don't rely so much on the scale. If you're losing inches and you look and feel better that's all that matters.0

Here's a article to read about gaining muscle and losing fat. http://www.prevention.com/fitness/strength-training/does-muscle-weigh-more-fat

You grew an inch! Of course you will gain weight. You are growing and as you mentioned are leaning out. Congrats.
Weight is going to fluctuate so do not fret.
Keep eating healthy for your needs, exercise and lift weights. It will work.
Read the post above and also read the 'sexypants' guide because it has all the answers.
Throw the scale away for now, trust the mirror and clothes until you have a healthier relationship with body weight and fluctuations.
Keep up the good work..

I doubt very much you're at 12-13% body fat. You would be extremely lean.
You also haven't gained 4 lbs of muscle in 2 weeks. It's most likely that you're retaining water from exercise and sodium. You don't say what having eaten "badly" means but I assume there were carbs/salt involved, which causes bloat, and if you ate more than usual there's more food in your digestive tract.0 -
Gah, I wish I was at 18% body fat -.-0

Nope. with the exception of newbie gains, one does not gain muscle in a deficit.0 -

I'm 23 years old, 5 foot 6, 133 pounds, and right now I'm at 23% body fat... So considering you're 2 inches taller and approximately 10 pounds heavier, unless that's ALL muscle, I have a hard time believing that calculator was accurate...0

Most of those online calculators are fairly inaccurate. It doesn't matter though, I just brought it up as a point of interest.0
