Aww. This literally brought tears to my eyes. What a special son you were to her, and vice versa of course.

May I ask where you first learned which shoe was best for your feet? I would love to get fitted but don't know what store to really trust.

    Thanks!

About halfway through, I started to realize where this was going, and the tears started to come. There are many things I have that I look at like this, and I think about it probably rather more than I should, because my parents are still here but we are definitely in that window and I hate it. I saved a pencil stub that my dad left laying around my house, one that he has whittled to sharpen and he would think it dumb but I have that in with my treasures.
Thank you for the read, it was beautiful. And so are your shoes.

Can't run right now, I'm recovering from a stupid injury. But my next run goes out to your mother.

I guess the tears in my eyes messed up my ability to type. *fixed it

This is my mom in April of last year... I had just finished my first 50k race with my brother and my dad brought my mom down and got her a chair so she could see me cross the finish line...

Look at the Joy in those eyes; her love goes far deeper than her smile.

Love your Mama. She was a great woman to raise such an amazing man.
Love the shoes- you knew I would.
Love that you share your love of all aspects of the run with us.
