Lost 10 pounds...and neck measurement hasn't changed?

My starting neck measurement was 16.5" and it is 15.5" now. I know my neck got bigger when I gained weight because necklaces that used to fit nicely would not fit right anymore (too tight or not even able to fasten).
12" seems fairly slender. I wouldn't think you would be carrying much weight in that area of the body with that measurement unless you are very small. My 14 year old dd, who weighs less than 100 lbs, has a 12" neck measurement.0 -
Nearly 100 pounds ago my neck was 13.6 and now it's 13.5, so go figure.0

Interesting. What kind of shape are you? Do you lean more towards a pear shape with a smaller upper body?0 -
I've lost 35 lbs and my neck hasn't changed.0

I'm a classic hourglass with a big bust and wide hips, but I've never had a double chin even at my heaviest. Currently 46/35/46 (See? Classic) at 214 pounds.0 -
Mine is 14. So does that mean I have a fat neck on top of everything else?! Haha0

Everyone else was doing it. And I got curious.
The neck is the gateway measurement. Do it once and it's hard to stop. Then you start measuring hips and waist and before long it's your wrists and forearms.
Oh my god...you're right....must...resist...measuring...big toe....
*Waves tape measure in front of face seductively*
OP it's been two weeks. Any neck measurement change?!
Not in my neck measurement, no. Then again, weight hasn't changed that much either in the past two weeks (other than ~2 pounds of what I suspect is PMS fluid retention...yuck).0 -

10 pounds isnt a lot, you're obviously losing it other places, just maybe not your face/neck yet (i dont recall if you said how much you weigh/ need to lose/ whatever). I've lost 23 pounds and its all from the upper half of my body - my lower half hasnt budged enough to make a size difference yet. (wish it would! LOL!)
itll come off (for you and me) when its ready to.
I'm 5'3" to 5'4" tall, currently weigh ~130 and my goal weight is 100.0 -
No neck change for me, though to be fair I've had little scale change this month.0

I've lost 25 lbs ( 10% of starting weight) and neck measurement has gone down 1/16 inch. Neck measurement is used in the US navy circumference method of calculating BF%. (neck, waist and (for woman only, Hip measurements)). Though I don't know if many people use this method of calculating BF%0
