It's a solid video. She kind of glosses over the additional metabolic reduction that happens when you lose body fat beyond what happens just from, of course, being lighter. But other than that, it sounds pretty good to me.
The "adaptive thermogenesis" that she speaks of is basically a result of leptin hormone levels falling when fat levels fall. This (and possibly other unknown things) triggers skeletal muscles to become about 20% more efficient, which results in a lower metabolism in an effort to save fat stores in most people. This effect may be permanent. See the research literature of Dr. Liebel of Columbia University Medical Center and Dr. Hirsh of Rockerfeller Hospital.
What this means is that a person who was obese for some period of time who loses weight will have a metabolism approximately 15-20% less than a person of the same weight who was never obese. That means that that person will have to eat about 15-20% fewer calories to maintain their weight than the person who was never obese. This effect may be permanent. Obesity may cause permanent physiological damage in some people.0 -

The video was informative and well researched. I appreciate these kinds of opinions.0

The banana girl ... advocating all natural food while sporting a plastic chest.0

Hey now, nothing wrong with fake boobs. No amount of dieting, self control, or hard work will make them puppies grow. Just sayin'0 -

What it means is adaptive thermogensis which does exist...

And freelee (banana nutter) and durianrider give terrible "nutritional advice"

Are his arms two completely different tones or am I crazy?

No, they're two different tones. I honestly don't think that either of them look healthy. Kind of scary and leathery, to be honest.0

Looks like two different arms all together. Maybe one is prosthetic?0 -
It's his left arm that's darker - his "driving arm." I sure hope his car is electric.0

I would have thought she'd be a dream girl to most guys.
It's nice to see not all men like that particular look

There is a lot of nonsense out there, but the video linked by the OP is actually a sensible rejoinder to the crazies. She appears to be a person who is vegan and also intelligent.0

Beyond that, I find it absurd that anyone would take banana girl even remotely seriously...
Srsly....how?
She looks good IMO. But she's a cyclist. She 1.) cycles WAY more than she lets on AND 2.) Doesn't eat the 5k calories a day she claims.
Alot of these vegans on youtube claim that they can "smash in the calories" and "carb the f up" because "no one gets fat on fruit".
As far as the video OP posted, this chick has other videos which seem pretty good too. I've seen a few of her calling people out on the BS they claim.
I also think that photo is cleverly photoshopped to make the top half with the boobs appear bigger than the bottom half - look at the angle of the bike and the door frame.
Might be wrong but I'm suspicious!0 -
About to come in guns a blazing as I have a strong dislike for Banana Girl and the pseudoscience she consistently vomits all over the internet but the video is a great critique of her *cough* rationalizations *cough* I will leave an interesting link here for those who are interested in learning about adaptive-thermogenesis aka starvation-mode.

Too skinny and not brunette. That's two points off right away!
Also because of the Hot-Crazy matrix.
and the fact she's dumb as a bag of rocks.0 -

Same. It's those little chubby cheeks lol.0 -
That aint my Idea of Banana Girl lol0

god that banana girl and her man annoy me so much! fine if that *kitten* works for them.. cool. it does not mean that it will work for every single person in the world. we all have totally different situations to them and it is 100% possible to be healthy not eating only *kitten* fruit. They seem to think everyone who does not do what they say/do is going to suddenly gain 30lbs and be too tired to exercise, let alone go to work. Olympic athletes perform extremely well and i'm sure they don't all solely eat a diet of fruit arrrrgh.0

OMG.... i love this.....0 -
meh, It's ok - she confuses BMR with RMR and cherry picks her research - there is evidence of long term AT in some dieters (leptin hypothesis, low fat hypothesis) - she's wrong to say "there is no evidence".
BTW - bing/restriction cycles (and anorexia studies of such) are not the same as consistent long term low cal restrictions. Guess which one does show AT?0
