    American teenagers always look so glam. I hadn't discovered make up yet at 18, had the world's worst hair cut, and wore an old 1920s dress that looked like it was made of curtains to my leaver's ball. I didn't start buying my own clothes until I was 19, before that my mother always bought them for me!
