what's the best fitness tracker?

I'd like to get a fitness tracker to keep me in check but not sure which kind. My husband got me the mysync elite for my birthday but it's one where you just clip to your pants. I think that would just get in the way and be annoying. I was looking at the Fitbit Flex. What are your thoughts?

Some people will swear by them, others won't. If it helps you track your movements and helps you move more then great. Personally, I am not tracking my exercise close enough to worry about it because I'm not eating back my exercise calories.

As for which is the best, I would look for features that you want. If you are wearing it all the time, you might want one that fits your fashion as well. Fitbits work great and I'm sure several of the other top brands work just as well. I find the sleep tracking features interesting.

Depends on what features you like. I love my Fitbit One - would NOT wear a wrist device. Just don't like anything on my wrists. I don't care for the Flex - it does not display steps, info on the unit and you must sync to the computer or phone app to get detailed stats. Fitbit's new devices (Charge, Surge) have info on device. For wrist wearables, if I were looking for one, I'd go with the Polar Loop. Water proof, while others are only water resistant, and Hubby has used one for a few months and likes it.

Research the different brands & models, read up on the feature. Decide what you are looking for.

I had the jawbone then sold it bc I wanted the fitbit but it wasnt compatible with my phone at the time so never bought it. I just recently got the Polar Loop bc it was a well known brand and less expensive then the others. So far I like it. I wanted to get one with the wrist HR but the only one that offers it is the Fitbit newest one. Cant remember what it is called but it was too pricey and I didnt really like the way it looked. I think it was only available in black. The Polar loop syncs with myfitness pal which is a new upgrade. I was so excited bc I wanted a nutrition tracking option that worked with it. I mainly use it for the steps and the sleep seems to be accurate. It isnt perfect but minor flaws are ok. For example you the screen will cycle through in the shower bc the water hits it. Obviously it can be taken off while showering I just never do. Also it takes a minute for the band to sync with app instead of right away. sometimes you have to keep pushing the button on the band several times before it picks up. Other than that I dont have a problem with it and glad I bought it.

I have the Jawbone Up 24 and I like. It's a wrist device but I think the style is cool. I want the new fitbit and will definitely be saving for that one :-)

Does anyone know what the difference is between the Jawbone Up24 and the Fitbit flex?
