Hi, why is there such a huge difference between the amount of calories burned when tracking on Endomondo compared to what MFP says for the same excercise, and which reading do you take as the correct one?

My Endomondo app tends to be on the lower end as compared to MFP calculations. Because I am trying to lose, I chose the lower number from my Endomondo app.0

Each app has its own formula and can produce different numbers. Pick one, use it as a baseline, adjust as necessary with the understanding that they are all estimates.0

For me, endomondo gives a higher calorie burn by about 100 Kcal for a 32 minute run. mfp automatically logs the calorie count from endomondo and I cant be bothered to log the mfp estimate. I dont know which is more accurate.0

They are both different for me as well. I just go with what endo syncs and don't eat all the calories back no matter what app gives the calorie count. They are all estimates so you can never be sure unless you go through a long drawn out proses to know exactly what you burn for each thing you do. I just try to eat 1/2 or less of what they all say i burn for a bigger deficit.0
