My success story? Well..it's yet to be written.
Let me tell you a bit about myself, I'm a single mom, I work full time in a cubicle so most of my day is spent sitting down. I gained so much weight in the last few years with my job. I'm about 5'6" and I when I first started dieting, I was 283 lbs. I felt disgusting! Looking back at old pictures of me makes me feel sick to my stomach and it's depressing! I decided to go on a diet and was doing sooo good, working out every day, logging all my meals and losing weight and feeling wonderful! I had lost 50lbs.
230lbs is still a lot but I was just starting to see some curves on my body and feeling a lot better about myself! Then, I was in a car accident and I hurt my back and my neck and getting migraines nearly every day, staying in bed, missing work, this was my down fall. I tried working out after my accident and I was literally in so much pain, my back hurt too much. I gave up! I stopped working out all together, I stopped watching what I ate. Needless to say, I've gained nearly all of that weight back :-(
It's been 2 years since that accident, I still have neck issues and back pain, and right now I'm 265lbs. Sill under my highest weight, but not happy..AT ALL.
I have decided to take my life back and get back to the gym and start eating right again! I get paid next week so I will start my weightloss journey when I get paid next week. Is it sad that I know I'm going to be giving up all my sugary goodness that I'm eating aweful today and relishing in the moment? Lol! So...here's to a new life, a healthy one, and getting my lazy *kitten* up and back on track!! (Next week)
Some of the things I'm really looking forward to, and they may seem silly to some but not to me..
Six flags: my family loves going! Last time I went, there were a few thrill rides that I could barely fit into. I was in tears, oh how embarassing it was to have to have the staff try to buckle you in and push down on the rail to do so becuse the buckle wouldn't fasten cause my fat stomach is too big!
I want to be able to ride everything and not worry about if I'm too big for the ride or not.
Another thing: I want to get down to a size where I'm comfortable wearing a two piece swim suit or bakini. I can say, I'm almost 30 years old and never in my life have I worn one.
I want to be able to see my collar bones! I want to be able to go shopping at any store and be able to fit into something they have, rather than only being able to shop at stores that offer plus size clothing.
I'm rambling now..lol. I hope I can find some support on here and the drive to keep going! I need this!!

Why wait another week! Start now.
Feel free to add me for support. I log every day and always active on here.
Best of luck!0 -
I'm starting next week because I don't get paid til then, so I'll be able to get my gym membership.. And right now I have random food in my fridge that isn't healthy, I won't be able to clear it out and buy groceries til next week either. Sooo I'll eat what I have and enjoy it one last week haha!0

Seriously, what CandyMonster said - start NOW!!! I'm like you - I can't bring myself to throw food out, regardless of whether I have money, but it doesn't take a gym membership to get into good habits.
If you've decided you'll be going to the gym 5 days a week then go for 5 walks this week, so that you're not shocked by the time you need to allow for it next week. Maybe see how far you can walk in ten/twenty/thirty minutes at the fastest pace you're comfortable with, and then turn around and come home more slowly. And then tomorrow, and for the rest of the five days, try and beat it by a little bit every day. And start drinking lots of water - it makes such a difference!
I picked up my gym keypass after work yesterday and tonight is the night. I'm SOOOOOO excited!!! I've been walking my boyfriend's dog for a while which is a good start, but I'm looking forwards to the possibilities at the gym You can add me if you like, and good luck!0
