Anyone else micro fasting?

I just finished up my first week. So far it's been great. Starting at 10am and stopping at 6pm so I get a good 16 hours in. Any advice to motivate me?

    There's a lot of people doing IF.
  • I've not tried intermittent. Isn't that just a couple times a week with a full 24 hours without food? I've just been doing the same microfasting shift every day.

    IF - lean gains style is exactly what you've described in your original post. Most commonly done with a 16 hour fast and 8 hour feeding window

    There are other types too like 5:2 (500 cals for 2 days and maintenance for 5), eat stop eat etc.

    Same. Never heard it called micro.

    OP,
    There are different protocols for IF, I like the 16:8 one myself. Occasionally I'll go to a 5:2 to drop some weight. I have a friend that was/is very successful on the 5:2.
  • See, I thought intermittent fasting was picking 2 days out of the week to do a 24 hour fast and then tthe rest of the days you maintain a normalccaloric intake. I also thought micro fasting was doing what I'm doing, only in a 12-16 hour window. I guess the Internet lies sometimes. I'm looking at the lean gains website. Thanks!

    I do the http://www.eatstopeat.com method. You eat every day, and fast 1 or twice a week. I typically fast from Sunday evening main meal to Monday evening main meal. And again on Thursday night to Friday night, the rest of the time I eat what I want and how I use to prior to doing this. I do also exercise, fan of les mills. I have now maintained a health weight and BMi for 3 years.
