    Last month's challenge was a huge success, let's hope this one goes just as well. I'm going to Hawaii for 2 weeks with the family and hope to get lots of exercise and eat lots of healthy fruits and seafood but hope I don't over indulge.

    Since I started tracking last week I am down 5 lbs. I am super excited this morning! This will help the motivation for the next week...hopefully! My struggle thus far has been trying to find the perfect balance of food so that I stay within my calorie goal but not feel hungry. I think I am getting there.

    Successes/struggles this week: This is usually my bloated part of the month so honestly stunned that I lost the weight. I have been exercising a LOT of will power over food most of this week which has helped. I've also increased my level of protein and fats in my diet and dropped a little carbohydrates while I still have the self-control to do it.

    Next week might be interesting though so looking forward to seeing if I can stay on track.

    I was going to wait until Sunday to post this week but I'm worried I'll forget...

    -Struggles: well, I gained a pound and only made it to the gym once and next week is going to be a struggle just to stay above water in terms of scheduling...
    -Successes: I'm going to look on the bright side and comment on the fact that last night I started really stressing over a quiz but I managed not to go raid my kitchen for every sweet junk food there possibly could be and instead drank a full bottle of water. And today, after a slap in the face of a quiz where I discovered I studied all the wrong material I went to the store and wasn't interested/feeling like I HAD to have more junk food/candy/sweets, instead I bought peppers, cucumbers, broccoli and milk. The most unhealthy things I bought were slices of cheddar cheese and a box of Lean Pockets. I also managed to avoid having to buy one of the triple chocolate cookies at the campus coffee shop that have become my weakness recently.

    So in short a small win despite gaining a pound. Hopefully I can get myself to stop stress eating and convert stress eating into going to the gym when I'm stress.

    Successes/struggles this week: I am figuring out lately that I need to have more protein earlier in the day to help me not to be hungry later in the day. I have been feeling better with eating less and exercising more. Who knew that would work ;)
