How does exercise work? Do I eat back exercised calories?

I'm 4'11 , 19. 116 pounds.
To lose 1pound a week: I have to eat 1335 calories.
At rest I burn: 1347
To maintain: 2,000 calories.
I want to start doing cardio for an hour. Say if I were to do cardio every morning on an empty stomach and I burned some calories, do I not eat because I don't wanna eat back the calories that I burned.
I've never exercised so I have no idea what I'm doing

Yes you need to eat. Food is fuel for your body, literally. You don't want to go below 1200 calories a day, that includes calories burned. For example I usually burn 600 calories a day at the gym. So, I eat no less than 1800 calories because 1800 eaten - 600 burned = 1200 total. This is advice I got from my primary care physician. Hope this helps you out. Good luck and stay heart healthy!!!0
