Does your partner cook?

Mine doesn't, so I make all the food we eat, which makes it very easy for me to keep track of what I am eating. I always think it must be harder for people who have to eat what other people make them. I also think my poor husband must be feeling a bit starved at the moment, as I am giving him the same food I am eating.

Do you like cooking? Or would you rather someone else did it?

Mine too  I like cooking too, though, so I have to shove him out of the kitchen or he interferes.

I do all the cooking, she does all the baking. I don't touch carbs any more, but if she were to make her banana nut bread you'd better believe I'd drop the lifestyle for 24hrs ;)

I see a pattern forming here ladies! I also do all the cooking in my home although my wife has a stash of goodies because she thinks my idea of snacks is more like torture.

I do most of the cooking, but my husband usually cooks one or two meals a week. I love cooking, but it is nice to get a break once in awhile! He usually cooks pretty healthily, but he always overdoes it on the portions, so I have to make my own dish!

I adore cooking! My partner will do it but he sees it as a chore but he cooks very healthily. Before starting MFP, we'd alternate weeks but now I do most of it, which I am more than happy to do. He feels guilty about me doing it all but assuages it by doing all the washing up!

My OH cooks only 2 things. Steak and a fried breakfast.... bith if which I have not had this year LOL!!

Being the main cook makes it much easier to control what I eat... and I love cooking!

    no, or very rarely.
If i want fish fingers and chips for my dinner, or frozen pizza, then he can cope, but nothing more taxing than that unfortunately

My oh used to cook more often than he does now. I don't know how it's happened but I make most of the meals now. Sometimes he puts my porridge in the microwave for me! Does that count?
I kind of wish he'd do a bit more cooking for us though.

My boyfriend and I take turns, but lately when I'm at his place, I've been doing most of the cooking because he likes to bread and deep fry things!

My hubby's idea of cooking is going out. I do most of the cooking and baking in our house. Good thing I love to take recipes and make them my own by changing and substituting.

I cook about 90% of the time for my wife but I am the one who is also pushing the strict diet.

My partner has been cooking most of his own dinners since I became vegetarian. It's made the being on a diet easier for both of us as there are no rows over food, cooking or shopping, he eats what he wants and I do the same.

Since I've been dieting, we both just kinda fend for ourselves....and our daughter just sort of picks between the two.

Not alot of cooking going on, though....but a whole lot of salad preparation.

Steve cooks 99% of the time, funnily enough I'm cooking dinner tonight but it's the first time in about a month I think.

He sticks to the slimming world plan I'm following, he understands it well and knows what to cook.

I do almost all the cooking. Hubby grills, which we do a couple times a week. He also makes the pancakes. Our son insists on that. It makes it easier to control what I am having for me to do the cooking. The hard part for us is that due to our son's sports schedules we eat out a couple times a week sometimes and that is hard to know exactly what you are eating.

We've sold our house without anywhere to move to, so have had to move in with our in laws on a farm. I usually cook, but now my mother in law does and she does it in true farm style - loads of roast food, loads of potatoes, loads of pastry, loads of cake and puddings - it is a minefield! Definitely honed my will power.

She looks a bit hurt when I only eat a bit and turn down puddings :-0

Saying that, not cooking certainly frees up my evenings :-)

Have her tweak the recipe using coconut flour, coconut oil and coconut milk, extra vanilla bean............I made some recently and my husband said it is best he has ever had!!!

My ILs have a farm, but they know when I am there, I'll do my own cooking. I don't do heavy farm work, so I don't need heavy farm food!

I do all the cooking and grilling...if I'm not up to it we go out to eat... I love to cook, grill, bake so that is a plus. It just sucks when I have to cook my veggies seperately most of the time since he won't touch them or eat the food if its in there-big baby!!

He is getting better about helping put dishes away ect but he is banned from cooking after he made oatmeal explode!!

Boyfriend is actually BETTER cook than me - with a chef dad and nutritionist mom, he's just got better instincts and palate.
However, he LOVES the carbs. Could eat a whole pot of rice and makes a wickedly good homemade alfredo. So when I cook for us, I make a carb just for him . My plate is 2/3 veg, 1/3 protein, while his is 1/2 carb, 1/2 protein, and 1/2 veg - which is 150%!! =)
