Cleaning what out? I like Lemon Grass Decaf Green Tea. I dunno know if it cleans me out but I love the taste of it...so soothing. I drink tea because I like the taste of it, no ulterior motives.
Have you tried eating more fibrous foods, that might work better than tea if you need 'cleaning out'.0 -

That's what Taco Bell is to me. Tastes better, too0 -

Beer has similar effects. Can I use beer as slimming tea instead?0 -

I vote for this.
OP, 'slimming tea' does nothing for your weight loss, all it is doing is acting as a laxative. That's not actually healthy.0 -
I eat fiber one cereal and it makes me poop0

I think any tea would have the same affect. Warm liquids help curb appetite. Coffee, tea and soup. At least they do for me. Just watch the caffeine at night.0

These teas contain senna, which is a harsh laxative. Used too often, your bowels become dependent on the senna to pass feces, and you'll become constipated if you stop drinking the tea. Definitely not something you should use every day, or even every other day.0

Lots of people seem to do it. But why? Isn't it just a laxative? Slimming effect is only achieved by calorie deficit over time. And won't the bowels just fill up again after they're emptied? Where's the usefulness in that? Does the tea even taste decent?0

Yes it tastes different. Your only supposed to drink the tea for 7 days. It works for me and I like it. Certain foods, like beef for example, can stay in your system for a few days. So all this tea does is help to pass food through your system quicker which is a good thing.0

I'm unclear why it is a good thing for your system to expel waste sooner than it otherwise would. If you're concerned about regularity, why not just add fiber to your diet? Why drink laxative tea regularly? What is the benefit of arbitrarily passing food through your system quicker?0 -

Getting foods out of your system quicker is not a good thing. It means that your body does not have a chance to absorb all the nutrients from it.

You have obviously read a lot of articles in magazines or something about these teas. Just know that they are nothing but laxatives and don't actually do anything beneficial to your body. It's a marketing ploy that a lot of people fall victim to.0 -

A good dose of salmonella will help things pass more quickly through your system. As others have said, this is not a good thing. And beef doesn't stay in your system for a few days anyway.

I've tried them and found them too harsh for me. Even the daily one was stronger than I wanted.0

Posts like these are why I come to the "food & nutrition" section of the message boards less & less frequently. Sigh.0

I like the tea. :-)0

Can I ask you, would you abuse laxatives for weight loss? Just go to the pharmacy, buy some laxatives and chow them down? Coz that's what this tea is. Just because they give it a silly name doesn't change that.0

what a crock of poop …figuratively….0

If you need help with your BM's, try loading up on the 3 "F"s of colon health: Fat, Fiber, and Fluids. If I get a little backed up, usually a large handful of almonds will move things along and give me some nutrients in the process.0
