A long way to go but I'm on my way

I started this on September 1st when I hit 272 on the scales. Today I hit my first goal weight of 225. Next stop 205, then hopefully 195. I've managed this strictly using a calorie deficit and walking about 5 miles a day with some push-ups and dumbbell exercises in between. I'm not eating clean like I should and rely on packaged and processed foods but that's next on the list. Anyhow, I just wanted to say thanks MFP for giving me the tools to turn my life around!!

You look awesome in the photos. Keep working.bwish I could take my own advice. I started one week and 5 days ago and have only lost 1.5 lbs. it's a start I guess.0

Just keep at it. I was stuck at 230 since the begining of this month, finally 3 days ago it started coming off again.0

50 lbs since September?!! You are amazing.
It is ok to keep processed foods in the plan. Lots of us are losing with a mixture of home cooking and packaged food.

A little bit more fat loss and definition now. Still real slow but steady results. I'm focusing more on strength training now and eating enough calories to still lose a 1/2 pound a week.0 -
Just found a better "before" pic. This was taken on my Birthday, September 13th 2014. I started with MFP on the 31st.0 -

Starting to see a little bit of muscle definition and getting a little leaner. I've been eating at maintenance for the past two months and hitting heavy weights 3 days a week.
