Suggested activities when my back hurts

My elliptical broke last week and that was a pretty low impact cardio workout I could do even when my lower back is bothering me. Does anyone have any other suggestions for the days when I can't do much? Yoga is fine, I just get really bored with it and it's not much of a cardio workout. It's also hard for me to walk outside regularly because I have no sidewalks near me. Any suggestions welcomed

    I have a really bad back. Degenerative, and arthritis - some days I can hardly put my socks on without laying down. Anyway, I'm on week 3 of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I got it on Amazon. It isn't causing me any problems. The cardio is limited and it isn't anything too bouncy or twisty that hurts my back. Good luck! I know how frustrating and depressing it is when your back won't cooperate.

    Thanks, I've done other Jillian workouts but not that one. I just ordered it so I'll give it a try
