im a college student so I spend most my time after dinner (and dessert) hanging around doing HW or procrastinating said HW... any tips to avoid boredom night time eating, I usually snack all night

Save up for it. I have dinner around 6:30, now I'm having 145 grams of gelato, and within the next hour I get tea and PB2 on toast. I like to eat until I go to bed.0

if moving your calories around to accommodate your snacks doesn't work, try staying busy. I do dishes, clean bathrooms, food prep, and do beauty regimes each night between dinner and dessert. find what works for you, and go with it.0
