What else can I do?

I've been watching what I eat, I gain weight. I cut down on pop, or sugar drinks, mainly just water is all I was drinking - gains weight. I started exercising, and working which involves a lot of walking and lifting- gains weight. I stopped eating breakfast - gains weight. I stopped eating lunch - gains weight. I'm trying to force myself not to eat anymore so I can finally lose. No matter what I do I'm gaining weight. I told my doctor, but it's nothing. I feel like somethings wrong. I started taking diet pills - gains weight. Can anyone give me ideas of what's happening to me. I can't lose weight, I gain constantly.

Well, your diary isn't open so it's hard to give any advice. Cutting back on soda and exercising can help, but a calorie deficit is what is going to result in weight loss. Have you created a calorie deficit?

Track everything, hit your caloric target for weight loss and be consistent. It takes time - not just a few days of skipping lunch (which I do not recommend) or going to the gym. Weight gain means that you are eating more calories than you are expending. It's that simple.

The good and bad thing is that there's no way you are a human anomaly, especially since your doctor has confirmed you have no medical condition that would cause you to gain weight. Diet pills indicate that you are looking for a shortcut. You just need to be disciplined and stay the course -it's hard and frustrating at times but it will pay off.

Consistency is key. Skipping meals is bad..because it will cause your body to go into starvation mode which will hang onto fat because your body is not getting the proper amount of nutrients it needs especially if you are working out as well.

Starvation mode, in this sense, is a myth. But skipping meals makes for a miserable life, it also makes us more likely to binge, and it could compromise our ability to get all the nutrients we need. Why do that if we don't have to? And we don't.

Providing you have no underlying medical condition

You're not eating at a calorie defecit

    Weigh and log your food

    Move more

Be consistent and stop fooling yourself / changing up what you do

Open your diary for specific advise and post your starter stats

Try cutting out salt or significantly reducing salt intake

    Everybody, repeat after me:

    Use a food scale!

Weigh your foods, log accurately. Eat back no more than 50% of your exercise calories. Don't log stuff you did when you were gaining (walk the dog, wash the dishes, walk around the mall).

If you're doing all of that and still gaining, see your doctor.
