Wow this just made me rethink all my goals
I am 5'1 and currently around 150 my goal was around 135 but now im thinking I need to lose more. Everybody my size is already at my goal and wanting to lose more :/

Get to your first goal and reassess. Body composition plays a huge role. I'm almost 135 now but I'm taller than you, 5'4", and feel okay here but think I would prefer 130. If I had not lifted and saved some muscle I don't know how I'd feel.
  • That's a good idea thanks arditarose

I am 5', and it looks like 120 lbs. (original goal 125) is a good goal for me. I started mfp in Jan. at 139 lbs. and am down to 131 as of today. I am 60 years young, and just want to keep a healthy weight (bmi) and stay active. Now I walk everyday about 2+ miles and cut out carbs. The 1st 5lbs was easy and now it's getting harder. I also just started an low impact aerobics class which I love. Best to you all.

5' my goal is 138. I carry a lot of muscle mass....and I like it that way. I don't like too thin for me. I like looking healthy for me thats about 137-138

I'm just barely 5'2 and currently 157. At my wedding in August I was 144 and happy at that stage but still carrying fat around my stomach and waist. My long term goal weight is 135 because I feel like at any skinnier I was lose my curves and muscle mass.

That's very close to me. I'm 5'2" and I'm currently around 148-150. My first goal weight is 135 as well. I carry weight in my midsection too and I have to get down to 130-135 to lose that, but then I'm too skinny everywhere else.

I like the 5'2"s that are aiming for 130 or so.....LOL..I'm 5'2" and aiming for 125 or so. Any less and I'd be too skinny. I like my curves, just like 'em a tiny bit ... smaller...

5'3 and aiming for 130-135. Any lower than that and it would start eating into my ability to lift heavy things.

According to the chart thing here is what i should be:
Based on the Robinson formula (1983), your ideal weight is 111.8 lbs
Based on the Miller formula (1983), your ideal weight is 120.1 lbs
Based on the Devine formula (1974), your ideal weight is 105.4 lbs
Based on the Hamwi formula (1964), your ideal weight is 105.2 lbs
Based on the healthy BMI recommendation, your recommended weight is 97.9 lbs - 132.3 lbs

I am 5'1 and 29 years old. I currently weight 189. I dont think being 105 is reasonable at all! I think i would look sickly, but that's probably because i've been at least slightly overweight my whole life. My goal is 130ish. I started at 199. I know even at 130 i will look thick etc but I don't know that anything below that would actually be something i would want. Guess we will see when i get there :)

I am 5'2-1/2". Current weight is 150.2 (arrggghhhh!). My goal weight is 110. I am very small boned, and people tell me if I lost 40 more pounds, I would be skin and bones. Not true. I am very small boned and have fat where most people have bones. They don't see me nekkid, or they would understand  Since discovering MFP, I've been losing slowly but steadily. Can't wait to break the stupid "decade barrier" of 150! Took me forever to get under 160, then I flew down to the low 150s, where I've been for the past week or so. It's all good. I'll get there.
  • I am 5'3 and I'm an athlete, very solid muscle. my body fat is coming from my upper body, and my ideal weight is 160, I'm 224

At 5'2 I'd love to see 130 again. I've been as low as 115 and that was really small! I'm 45 now and 148...too round for my little frame.

I'm 5'1" and I'm shooting for 125 but, to be honest, at this point I'd be thrilled if I got to 140

I'm not super short at 5' 3" but my goal weight as of right now is 137 and then I'll re-evaluate. Max healthy weight for my height is 140 and right now I'm 151 but these last few pounds are taking forever for me! I would love to get under 130 but in reality I just want to look good in a swim suit and I don't really care about my weight on the scale. I haven't been under 120 since middle school (I was also 5' 3" in middle school haha) so I don't think it's realistic for me to shoot that low.

i'm 5'5" and i'm 247lbs right now after 3 kids in 5 years. i'm 31, i'll be 32 in june. i think 145-150 is good final goal weight for me. I was 135lbs after my last military deployment (i was 23) but that is so unrealistic to even get to now and i looked too skinny almost sickly at that weight. right now i'm just trying not to derail my healthy eating because of stress. i'm a recovering stress eater.

    I'm 5'3 and currently 140. Pushing for 120 by summer :)
  • I'm 4'11. I weigh 170. I'm trying low carb diet. I know I need to eat more than I am. I lost 2 pounds in 5 dsys. I would be happy at 120. Of course would love to 110. For me it all seems impossible

I"m 5'3.5" and I currently weight 167lbs after having lost 47lbs. My original goal is 140lbs...because as an adult I have never even been close to that. I might reconsider when I get there because as it seems my goal is too high comparative to others at my height. I have always been on the muscular side and I have been strength training since Nov. 2014...but I still have some fat to go. I would like to hit my goal by end of summer but I feel amazing compared to how I felt last year this time....plus I'm trying to be happy regardless of how much I weight. So far it's working just feeling healthier.
