What would you eat off this menu?

I'm going out to dinner with some girlfriends tonight. I'm wondering what the MFP world would get from this menu. Thanks!

The Verdure Omelette for me. I now just look for the thing that I want least and eat that.0

It's a tricky one as everything looks like it is covered in a sauce. If you wanted to go low calorie I reckon the salmon Caesar salad with sauce on the side would be the lowest cal. Or just order what you like, eat a small portion and do some extra exercise tomorrow. One night out doesn't do too much damage as long as you get straight back on track the next day. Have a great night.0

How many calories do you have?0

depends who's paying!! Fetticine shrimp sounds nice. I wouldn't worry too much about the calories, just go and have a great night out0

The ommletes are all on the brunch menu but they might make one for you if you ask nicely.0

Grilled salmon, sauce on the side, asparagus, spinach and mixed salad - allow 500 calories
3 glasses of cava 270 calories

^ This. If its only one night, it won't ruin your progress. You'd be better off just enjoying yourself.
However, if you insist on ordering something healthy-ish, I would suggest the Grilled Salmon, the Penne Spasso, or any of the salads/antipasta off of the "Antipasti Fredi" menu. Most of this sounds very carb and fat heavy due to the pasta or sauce.

The grilled salmon sounds great to me, but I'm a bit caper-mad.
Get what you'd enjoy, log an extra tablespoon of butter or something to account for the sauce, and only eat half the pasta. (take the rest home for tomorrow) Get a salad for starters to keep yourself from overdoing it on the main dish. Alternate your wine with seltzer and lemon. Enjoy!0 -
Depends, if the pasta is home made I might splurge, otherwise not. I'd get the grilled salmon and a few glasses of wine.0

Thanks for the responses. I'm looking for something less indulgent. This will be my third night out this week so I'm trying not to splurge too much.0

When I go out to eat I usually stick to soup or salad or fruit.0

Salmon with asparagus all in!! Yum!0

I got super excited, and then realized I was looking at the Easter brunch menu. For dinner, I'd probably do veal saltimbocca, mostly because it's something I've never had. And I'd probably start with the goat cheese salad, and finish with a cannoli. And I'd completely not care about calories just because it looks super tasty.0

Steak and eggs. I'm not a big fan of sauces or cheese (other than cottage cheese) and steak and eggs are two of my favorite foods.0

That's depressing.
The shorter response would be what wouldn't I eat off this menu. (Answer: the escargot & any of the veal dishes.) I'd probably go for the crabmeat ravioli though. That sounds delicious. Oh wait, was I supposed to choose based on calories?0 -
I'd get the polenta appetizer and a salad.0
-
I'd start with the grilled calamari and an arugula salad, then I'd probably go with the linguine ponza, then some dessert, maybe tiramisu (if they have).0
-
Escargot to start and probably the Linguine Clams for my main.0
-
pollo agrodolce. mmmm, chicken in balsamic vinaigrette sauce and toasted pine nuts?? yum!!0

I would go with the fettuccine shrimp. No pasta and shrimp is an excellent source of proteins while the pesto cream sauce may only have about 2g net carbs, plus it’s a fattier sauce.
For a side, I would go with spinach or broccoli. Or both.0 -
I go to the restaurant maybe once every 2-3 months, so I'd order whatever I feel like. I'm not going to deprive myself when I eat out, but that's just me!
Looking at this menu, my choice would be the grilled salmon just because that's my preference, unless there is a filet mignon somewhere (yum!). This is why I don't like eating out, I always find I can eat exactly what I want at home, with less calories (if I want to) and it's usually more tasty. Except when it comes to dessert. I can't make dessert so of course it's always better at the restaurant!
Anyways. Calorie-wise, you're probably better with some meat/fish and veggies (sauce and dressing on the side), and skip the pasta...0 -
I would just avoid things you know are extremely calorie dense (fettucini Alfredo comes to mind) and otherwise order what you want, just eat less.
I went to a Mexican restaurant the other night, and I ordered what I used to always get except I ate about half, asked the waitress to take my plate so it wasn't sitting there tempting me, only had 5 chips versus a basket like I used to eat, and didn't have dessert. I had actually lost a pound the next day.

I'd like to give you my opinion but unfortunately, I stopped reading to prevent myself from gnawing my own hand off.0

That place is actually a few miles away from where I work but;
Arancini
Timballo
Veal Saltimbocca0
